seeking an experienced Senior Finance Process Specialist to lead finance-process analysis, optimization, standardization, controls, automation, documentation, and continuous-improvement initiatives.The ideal candidate will combine strong finance knowledge with process-management, analytical, and transformation capabilities to identify process weaknesses, redesign inefficient workflows, improve control environments, support finance-system enhancements, and deliver measurable improvements in efficiency, accuracy, compliance, and service quality.Key ResponsibilitiesLead end-to-end reviews of finance processes across Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Treasury, FP&A, Procurement, Tax, and related functions.Analyze current-state finance processes and identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, control weaknesses, duplication, and manual activities.Develop future-state finance processes aligned with organizational objectives and operating-model requirements.Establish standardized finance processes, workflows, procedures, controls, and service standards.Develop process maps, swimlane diagrams, workflows, operating procedures, and process documentation.Conduct process assessments across transaction processing, month-end close, reporting, reconciliations, approvals, payments, collections, budgeting, and financial planning.Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, automate, or eliminate unnecessary process steps.Lead finance-process improvement initiatives from problem definition through implementation and post-implementation review.Apply Lean, Six Sigma, continuous-improvement, process-management, and business-process-reengineering methodologies where appropriate.Analyze process performance using cycle time, volume, error rates, rework, cost, service levels, and other operational measures.Establish finance-process KPIs, SLAs, control indicators, and performance benchmarks.Monitor process performance and identify recurring operational issues and root causes.Conduct root-cause analysis for process failures, delays, errors, control exceptions, and service issues.Develop corrective and preventive actions and track them through completion.Review finance policies and procedures to ensure they are aligned with approved processes and control requirements.Identify gaps between documented procedures and actual operating practices.Coordinate with Finance leadership to prioritize process-improvement opportunities based on risk, value, complexity, and implementation effort.Evaluate the financial and operational benefits of proposed process improvements.Develop business cases, cost-benefit analyses, implementation plans, and improvement roadmaps.Work closely with Finance Technology and IT teams on ERP, finance-system, workflow, reporting, and automation initiatives.Support ERP implementations, upgrades, migrations, module enhancements, and finance-system transformations.Translate finance-process requirements into functional and system requirements.Participate in requirements gathering, solution design, configuration reviews, testing, and implementation activities.Develop user acceptance testing scenarios for finance processes, workflows, controls, and system functionality.Coordinate UAT execution and document issues, defects, resolutions, and approvals.Validate system outputs and integrations against approved finance processes and accounting requirements.Identify opportunities to automate repetitive finance activities using workflow tools, robotic process automation, AI-enabled solutions, and other technologies.Evaluate automation opportunities based on transaction volumes, complexity, risk, cost, and expected benefits.Support automation design, implementation, testing, documentation, and post-implementation monitoring.Establish appropriate controls over automated finance processes and system-generated transactions.Review segregation of duties, approval workflows, access controls, and process-level control requirements.Work with Internal Audit, Risk, Compliance, and Financial Controls teams to address process and control deficiencies.Support remediation of audit findings and control weaknesses through sustainable process improvements.Review finance processes for compliance with internal policies, accounting requirements, regulatory obligations, and governance standards.Support process-risk assessments and maintain finance process risk and control matrices.Coordinate process-control testing and document evidence of control performance.Improve financial data quality by identifying process and system sources of inaccurate, incomplete, duplicated, or inconsistent information.Establish data-quality controls and validation procedures within finance workflows.Work with reporting and analytics teams to improve finance-process performance reporting.Develop dashboards and management reports covering process performance, service levels, control exceptions, automation, and improvement initiatives.Coordinate cross-functional workshops to understand process pain points, requirements, dependencies, and improvement opportunities.Facilitate process-design workshops with Finance, Operations, Technology, Procurement, Commercial, and other stakeholders.Manage process-improvement projects, including scope, milestones, resources, risks, dependencies, and deliverables.Maintain finance-process inventories, process ownership matrices, documentation repositories, and improvement registers.Establish clear process ownership, accountability, escalation paths, and governance structures.Develop standardized finance operating procedures and ensure appropriate review and approval.Coordinate communication and training when finance processes, systems, policies, or controls change.Develop training materials and support Finance users during implementation of new or redesigned processes.Monitor adoption of redesigned processes and identify areas requiring additional support or corrective action.Conduct post-implementation reviews to transformation, business-process management, accounting operations, financial controls, or finance systems, preferably within a multinational, complex, shared-services, professional-services, commercial, or technology-enabled organization.The candidate should demonstrate:Strong understanding of end-to-end finance processes and accounting operations.Proven experience analyzing, redesigning, standardizing, and improving finance processes.Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Record-to-Report, Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, Treasury, FP&A, and related finance processes.Experience developing process maps, workflows, SOPs, operating models, and control documentation.Strong process-analysis and business-process-reengineering capabilities.Experience applying Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous-improvement methodologies.Strong understanding of finance controls, risk management, segregation of duties, and governance.Experience working with ERP and finance systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, or equivalent platforms.
