The OpportunityInterested in working for a scaling fintech business lending operation?Senior Financial Accountant required reporting to the Head of Finance. This is a chance to add real value, take ownership and accountability in a fun yet professional workplace.The RoleTaking ownership of the daily running of the finance department from overseeing the outsourced bookkeeping activities to month end, year end and external audit support.Ownership of the monthly management accounts process including journal postings and BS recs through to TBAssisting with preparation of consolidated accountsPreparing and submitting quarterly VAT returnsSupporting the year end accounting process with the auditors including consolidations and disclosuresExternal audit managementMonthly and quarterly interest, facility fee and commission calculationsEnd to end ownership of the loan book and cash recsSupporting the streamlining and documentation of finance processes and identifying ways to further automate reportingWhat skills will you need?Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with experience within management and financial accountingExperience working within financial services ideally an alternative lending type business, banking or other types of fintechAny experience of loan operations (interest calculations, debt holder payments, loan recs etc) an advantageComfortable working within a fast paced start-up environment, happy being hands on and in the detailWhat about hybrid working?2 to 3 days per week in the London office
