You'll be applying your financial accounting skills in an environment where the work has a clear purpose behind it.You'll build on your experience by managing two direct reports, therefore building you towards a more senior role in the future.You'll be CBD based with 2-days WFH.What you'll do:The expectation isn't that you simply prepare the numbers and move on. You'll be encouraged to understand them, analyse them and look at how the finance function can work better.You'll manage two direct reports and play a key role across the financial accounting function.Your responsibilities will include:Supporting the month-end close, including GL and balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and journalsPreparing and analysing monthly P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow reportingAnalysing revenue accruals across clientsManaging statutory and compliance reporting including BAS, ABS, FBT,Preparing and maintaining cashflow forecastsSupporting treasury and cash management activitiesWorking with internal and external stakeholders across the organisationProviding guidance and support to other members of the finance teamIdentifying opportunities to improve processes, controls and reportingWho you areYou'll be a CA/CPA qualified accountant with a strong financial accounting background and preferably with experience working in a complex, multi-entity organisation.You will have managed previously; it doesn't need to be a big team. 1-2 people is ideal.I'm particularly interested in someone who:Has strong end-to-end financial accounting experienceHas worked across a complex or multi-entity environmentEnjoys getting into the detail but can also step back and understand the bigger pictureIs confident analysing financial information rather than simply reporting itHas strong Excel and data analysis skillsCan communicate comfortably with both finance and non-finance stakeholdersWants to take ownership of processes and improve the way things are doneApply TodaySubmit your CV directly via email to Stewart Selwood on stewart.selwood@roberthalf.com.au or by pressing the Apply button.By clicking 'apply', you give your express consent that Robert Half may use your personal information to process your job application and to contact you from time to time for future employment opportunities.
