Senior Financial Analyst

Summary:Analyze financial data, forecast future trends, prepare budgets, generate financial reports, & provide financial insights for decision-making .Key Responsibilities:1. Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support:Collect and organize financial data from various sources.Develop financial models to simulate different scenarios and predict future financial performance.Use these models to support strategic decision-making and identify potential risks and opportunities.2. Report on financial performance and prepare for regular leadership reviews:Compile comprehensive financial reports that summarize key performance indicators (KPIs).Present these reports to senior leadership during regular review meetings.Highlight significant financial trends, variances, and insights to inform strategic decisions.3. Forecast revenue and costs and provide analysis to management:Develop detailed revenue and cost forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and business plans.Provide management with actionable insights and recommendations based on these forecasts.Continuously update forecasts to reflect changing business conditions and new information.4. Conduct market research and competitive analysis:Gather and analyze data on market conditions, industry trends, and competitor activities.Assess the impact of external factors on the company’s financial performance.Provide strategic recommendations based on market and competitive insights.5. Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting:Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure that financial data is accurately recorded and reported.Assist in the preparation of financial statements and regulatory filings.Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.6. Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements:Review historical financial data to identify patterns and trends.Conduct variance analysis to compare actual results with budgeted figures.Provide recommendations for improving financial performance based on the analysis.7. Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts:Compare actual financial results with planned and forecast figures.Identify deviations and analyze the reasons behind them.Provide insights and recommendations to improve future financial planning and performance.8. Guide the cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures:Develop and implement policies and procedures for cost analysis.Ensure that cost analysis is conducted consistently and accurately across the organization.Provide guidance and training to team members on cost analysis best practices.Key Qualifications:BS degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.Minimum 5 years of experience in financial analysis or similar rolesProven work experience as a Senior Financial Analyst or similar role.Hands-on experience with financial and statistical software.
