Apply & track with Apply EdgeCoda Search is partnering with a leading law firm in New York City, seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join its Finance team. This individual will play a key role in financial planning and analysis, management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and providing actionable financial insights to firm leadership and business stakeholders. This is a newly created role with a dynamic law firm that has continued to expand its operations and revenue over the course of the past few years. The role will get significant exposure across the firm and partner closely with business leaders.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages for senior leadership and firm management.Support the annual budgeting process, including preparation of departmental budgets, financial models, and variance analyses.Develop and maintain financial forecasts, rolling projections, and long-term financial models.Analyze actual results versus budget and forecast, identifying key drivers, trends, and areas of risk or opportunity.Partner with department leaders to understand financial performance and provide insights to support business decisions.Prepare financial analyses related to revenue, expenses, headcount, profitability, and operating performance.Support practice group and client profitability analysis, including revenue and expense trends.Identify opportunities to improve financial reporting processes, data integrity, and analytical capabilities.Assist with special projects and strategic initiatives as needed.Qualifications2+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, accounting, or a related finance function.Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, financial modeling, and data analysis.Experience working with large datasets and translating financial information into meaningful insights.Strong understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to senior stakeholders.Prior experience in a law firm, professional services, or partnership environment is a plus.
