Apply & track with Apply EdgeJob SummaryThe Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A supports financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, monthly close, and financial analysis across multiple business units. This role partners with station leadership and finance teams to consolidate financial information, develop forecasts and long-range plans, analyze performance, and support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable managing high-volume data and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.Job ResponsibilitiesDevelop financial models and perform scenario analysis across multiple business units.Partner with station teams on monthly forecasting and the preparation of annual budgets and long-range financial plans.Support the monthly financial close process, including journal entries, accruals, variance analysis, and consolidation.Analyze financial performance and identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.Manage and track capital expenditure requests and related reporting.Prepare financial reports, presentations, and other materials for senior leadership.Perform ad hoc financial analysis and support corporate reporting requirements.Review and reconcile invoices and expense reports and code expenses to appropriate general ledger accounts.Analyze high-volume financial data using Excel, including pivot tables, graphs, formulas, lookups, and financial models.Collaborate with finance and operational leaders across multiple locations to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.Identify issues requiring escalation and communicate financial risks or discrepancies to appropriate stakeholders.Support continuous improvement of financial planning and reporting processes.Job RequirementsMinimum 4-5 years of financial planning and analysis experience.Experience with financial forecasting and budgeting required.Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, graphs, formulas, lookups, and financial modeling.Strong PowerPoint skills and ability to prepare executive-level presentations.Strong understanding of corporate finance concepts and accounting principles.Experience working with Oracle, SAP, Oracle Fusion, or similar financial planning systems.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.Proactive approach to identifying issues, resolving problems, and escalating concerns when appropriate.Willingness to learn and understand media-related business operations.EducationBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required.Work Experience4-5+ years of financial planning and analysis experience required.Experience with forecasting, budgeting, and long-range financial planning required.Experience supporting monthly close and financial consolidation preferred.Media, news, or entertainment industry experience preferred.
