Apply & track with Apply EdgeLead budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis across mining operationsCirca $160,000 - $180,000 + super commensurate w/exp, Subiaco-basedPartner with site leaders and turn operational data into commercial insightAn opportunity to join an ASX-listed gold producer in a senior FP&A role supporting its interstate mining operations.Based in the company’s Subiaco corporate office and reporting to the Financial Controller, you will lead operational budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis across the business.The position includes regular interstate site travel, allowing you to work directly with operational and technical stakeholders, understand the drivers behind performance and translate financial information into practical commercial insight.Day-to-day matters will include:Leading annual budgets and rolling forecasts across operating and capital expenditureDeveloping financial models using mine plans, production schedules and operating assumptionsPreparing site P&L, unit-cost and KPI reporting, including cost-per-tonne, cost-per-ounce and AISC analysisInvestigating performance against budget and forecast with site personnelIdentifying the operational drivers behind variances and recommending appropriate actionsProviding analysis and commentary to operational, technical and finance stakeholdersSupporting capital investment decisions through scenario modelling, NPV and payback analysisReviewing stockpile, ore-in-circuit, gold-in-process and metal-accounting informationPreparing financial analysis for executive, Board and quarterly reportingSupporting commercial matters relating to contracts, suppliers and purchasing commitmentsImproving management reporting, financial models, dashboards and planning processesSupporting the development of finance systems, cost-centre structures and coding standardsAbout YouSenior FP&A, management accounting or commercial finance experience within mining or resourcesExperience partnering with operational, technical and site-based stakeholdersStrong understanding of mining cost drivers, budgeting, forecasting and performance analysisAdvanced financial modelling and Excel capabilityAbility to interpret operational and financial information and communicate the underlying story clearlyExperience preparing analysis and recommendations for senior stakeholdersERP and business intelligence reporting experienceAccounting, finance or commerce degreeCA or CPA qualificationWillingness to undertake regular interstate site travelCurrent driver’s licence and full Australian working rightsYou will suit a practical working environment where you can build relationships across finance and operations, take ownership of your work and contribute across a small corporate team.ParticularsPermanent, full-time position, office-basedModern Subiaco corporate office, near trainlineCirca $160,000 - $180,000 + superannuation, commensurate with experienceThe successful candidate will need to meet applicable site-access and induction requirements.Interested?Please apply confidentially using the relevant button.
