They are onsite Tuesdays through Thursdays and working remotely Mondays and Fridays. Prestigious top ranked billion dollar institution has a unique opportunity for a Senior Financial Analyst to join its expanding team. Reporting to the Manager, this position will have significant interaction with Directors and other senior level Executives on the team and be a true business partner to the team that they support. The Senior Financial Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) will help drive the monthly forecast process, annual budget, and annual strategic plan. This individual will maintain an overall financial perspective of the company and will perform additional project-based analyses as required.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Assist in developing the consolidated Annual Operating Plan (AOP) including the P&L, capital plan, balance sheet, and cash flow by partnering effectively with the finance leads and business heads responsible for each critical functional area of the companyDevelops monthly financial forecasts including the P&L, capital spending, balance sheet, and cash flowConducts and consolidates insightful variance analyses to fully understand the drivers of business performance and to identify potential issues and opportunities. Effectively communicate this information to senior managementParticipates in the development of the annual Strategic Plan. Translates the impact of strategic initiatives to the long-term financial planDevelops discounted cash flow models to support capital investment decisions and ensure value creationProvides direct financial support to upper management responsiblePerform ad hoc analyses as necessaryAssess the current FP&A processes/tools and implement improvementsEducation and/or Experience:Our client has a professional, performance-driven culture where candidates should bring confidence backed by ability, and a competitive and entrepreneurial spirit focused on helping the company maximize its potential. Exposure to a leadership development program and/or consulting organization is strongly preferred.MBA degree from a nationally recognized institution with outstanding academic credentials is a plusProven ability to build strong business relationships at all levels throughout an organizationExperience as a strategic thinker and the ability to effectively translate strategies into financial plansA self-directed individual able to adapt quickly to changes in priorities and business conditionsExperience and comfort working in a fast-paced business environment with ability to consistently meet tight deadlinesSuperior analytical skills and intellectual curiosity with the ability to develop and maintain complex financial modelsWell-developed presentation skillsConsiderable experience with Microsoft Office and other financial software systems
