Finance sits at the heart of the business: every order, refund, payout and fee flows through our numbers, and their accuracy drives the decisions we make every week.Role overviewWe are looking for a Senior Financial Controller & FP&A to build, own and maintain the full reporting suite of the group and guarantee the accuracy of the business numbers.You will own the monthly financial statements, cash and runway reporting and the budget, and run the reconciliations that tie our sales platforms, payment gateways, banks and database together. On group projects (transfer pricing, e-invoicing, consolidation, audits), you will work alongside the Director of Finance, who leads them.Our ambition is a fully digitalised finance function. You will support the Director of Finance in implementing all our finance tools and in automating our processes end to end, so that the team spends its time on analysis rather than manual work. This is a hands-on role in a lean team, where you build the tools, not just run them.Key responsibilitiesFinancial reportingBuild and maintain the monthly P&L, balance sheet and cash flow statement, by entity and consolidatedProduce the monthly burn and runway analysis and keep the cash forecast up to datePrepare clear monthly reporting packs for management with KPIs, variance analysis and commentaryContinuously improve reporting quality, automation and turnaround timeBudget and forecastingLead the annual budget process and periodic reforecastsTrack actuals against budget monthly and explain the main variancesSupport management with scenario analysis and business casesReconciliationsGMV and refunds: reconcile sales and refunds between Shopify and payment gateway statementsGateway payouts: reconcile payment gateway settlements against bank receiptsFees: reconcile gateway fees between contracts, statements and the database, and flag overchargesShipping: reconcile shipping costs per order against carrier invoices and the databaseIntercompany: reconcile intercompany balances and transactions across the group entitiesSeller payouts: support the weekly seller payout run and its reconciliationInvestigate and resolve discrepancies with internal teams and external partnersMonth-end closeMaintain the closing calendar and make sure every task is delivered on timePrepare month-end accruals and their reversalsContribute to a timely and accurate monthly close, with full supporting documentationStrengthen controls and processes as the business scalesTax, audit and group projectsSupport the implementation of the group transfer pricing policySupport the implementation of e-invoicing and understand its VAT implicationsSupport the statutory audit of each entity, from audit file preparation to auditor queriesFinance digitalisationSupport the implementation of all finance tools (ERP, consolidation, e-invoicing, reporting and reconciliation automation)Automate reporting and reconciliations end to end, reducing manual work to a minimumDocument processes and tools so they stay clear, repeatable and auditableRequirementsMust have5+ years in FP&A, financial control or audit (Big 4 background is a plus), ideally in marketplace, e-commerce or fintechStrong command of the three financial statements and month-end close, including accrualsProven experience reconciling high volumes of transactions across several data sourcesAdvanced Google Sheets skills (complex formulas, pivot tables, large datasets); we work in Google SheetsComfortable with AI tools and using them in daily workDeadline-oriented, able to deliver on time under pressureProduces work that is clear, checkable and auditable, with a full trail from source to outputCurious and proactive: you question how things are done and bring ideas to make the finance function evolveProcess-minded: you enjoy understanding how processes work end to end, so you can clarify, document and streamline themRigour and attention to detail: you do not let a gap go unexplainedAutonomy and ownership in a fast-paced, lean environmentFluent EnglishNice to haveAccounting qualificationSQL skills to automate reporting and reconciliationsExperience with Shopify and payment gateways (Stripe, Checkout.com, Tabby, Tamara or similar)Experience with Zoho Books or another cloud ERPKnowledge of UAE VAT and multi-entity, multi-currency environmentsArabic or French is a plusWhat we offerA high-impact role with direct visibility to managementThe chance to build the FP&A function and its tools from the ground upExposure to a multi-country, multi-entity marketplace businessA fast-moving, entrepreneurial team in Dubai
