This person will oversee all accounting operations for a growing construction organization, ensuring accurate financial reporting, rigorous job costing, and strong internal controls. This role requires deep experience in construction accounting, including WIP reporting, cost analysis, and project-level financial oversight.Duties/Responsibilities Direct all aspects of accounting operations including general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, financial reporting, and month-end close processes.Ensure financial records and reporting are maintained in compliance with GAAP standards and internal accounting policies.Analyze financial performance, profitability trends, operating costs, and budget variances while providing regular and ad hoc reporting to executive leadership.Partner with senior management on financial planning initiatives, operational analysis, and strategic decision-making by identifying key revenue and cost drivers.Develop and maintain relationships with banking and financial institution partners, supporting financing activities and ongoing financial operations.Coordinate and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.Oversee insurance relationships and ensure organizational compliance with applicable policies and coverage requirements.Manage tax planning and compliance across federal, state, local, payroll, property, and other applicable tax requirements.Forecast, monitor, and manage organizational cash flow to support operational needs and long-term financial objectives.

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.Experience in a construction or manufacturing business with activity-based project costingAbility to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating priorities and deadlines.Ability to work without direct supervision, and efficiently manage tasks and me.Computer literate with construction industry specific softwareMust be familiar with the Construction Industry and have experience with project cost reporting, WIP - work in progress reporting, and equipment cost reportingEducation and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business.CPA preferred8+ years of accounting experience, preferably in construction or relevant industryExperience managing a team of up to 4 people
