We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Leader to serve as the primary financial partner for a manufacturing plant, supporting the Site Leader and plant leadership team. This role is responsible for managing plant financial performance, budgets, forecasting, accounting, capital projects, and overall financial strategy.The ideal candidate will bring strong accounting and financial analysis experience, with the ability to partner closely with plant leadership and translate financial data into actionable business insights.What You’ll DoServe as the primary financial point of contact for the plant, corporate finance teams, and plant leadershipPartner with the Site Leader and staff as the plant’s financial leaderManage annual budgets, period profit estimates, forecasting, and financial performance analysisReview financial records to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with company policiesLead period, quarterly, and year-end close activities, including journal approvals, reviews, financial analysis, and period recapsPrepare financial reports for leadership and federal, state, and local agenciesAnalyze trends, discrepancies, business activity, and opportunities to improve financial performanceDevelop cost estimates for new products and packaging changes and analyze pricing and outside sales quotesEvaluate new business opportunities to determine financial viability and alignment with company strategyAnalyze capital projects to ensure they meet company requirements and financial expectationsManage and safeguard company assets while reviewing and approving expendituresIdentify opportunities to minimize excessive spending, waste, and financial riskWork across multiple accounting systems and interfaces and troubleshoot related issuesSupervise and coach office staff, including workload management, performance reviews, and developmentPartner with plant leadership to support Safety, Quality, Reliability, and overall operational performanceSupport food safety and quality principles and all applicable regulatory requirementsWhat We’re Looking ForBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experienceStrong knowledge of accounting principles and practicesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracyStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to build collaborative relationships and work effectively with cross-functional teamsAbility to understand and communicate complex financial informationProficiency with Microsoft ExcelExperience with Hyperion Essbase preferredPreferred ExperienceManufacturing finance or accounting experienceExperience working in a union environmentCost accounting experienceBudgeting and forecasting experienceExperience supporting plant operations or other complex business environments
