Job PurposeThe Senior Flutter Developer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, and continuously improving high-quality cross-platform mobile applications using Flutter and Dart.The position will take technical ownership of mobile application development, contribute to architecture and engineering standards, collaborate closely with Product, UI/UX, Backend, QA, and DevOps teams, and provide technical guidance to junior and mid-level developers.The successful candidate should combine strong hands-on Flutter expertise, software engineering discipline, problem-solving ability, and leadership capability to deliver secure, scalable, maintainable, and high-performing applications.2. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Flutter Application Development Design and develop high-quality Android and iOS applications using Flutter and Dart. Build reusable widgets, components, libraries, and application modules while translating UI/UX designs and business requirements into responsive, user-friendly mobile experiences.B. Architecture & Technical Design Design scalable and maintainable application architecture using appropriate patterns such as Clean Architecture, MVVM, BLoC, Riverpod, Provider, or equivalent approaches. Establish clear separation of concerns, reusable code structures, and engineering standards that support future product growth.C. API & System Integration Integrate mobile applications with RESTful APIs, WebSockets, authentication services, payment gateways, push notifications, analytics, maps, and other third-party services. Work closely with backend developers to ensure reliable data exchange, appropriate error handling, and secure integration.D. Performance, Security & Reliability Optimize application startup time, rendering, memory usage, network performance, battery consumption, and overall responsiveness. Apply secure coding practices for authentication, authorization, token management, sensitive information, local storage, and API communication.E. Testing & Quality Assurance Develop and maintain unit, widget, and integration tests. Conduct code reviews, debugging, root-cause analysis, and defect resolution. Collaborate with QA teams to maintain release quality and minimize production defects.F. Release & Deployment Support application build, signing, versioning, CI/CD, and deployment processes. Manage or support releases to the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, including troubleshooting build and release issues.G. Technical Leadership & Code Governance Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior and mid-level Flutter developers. Conduct code reviews and promote coding standards, documentation, Git practices, testing discipline, and engineering best practices. Identify technical debt and recommend practical improvements.H. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with Product Managers, Business Analysts, UI/UX Designers, Backend Developers, QA Engineers, DevOps Engineers, and other stakeholders. Participate actively in requirement analysis, sprint planning, estimation, technical discussions, retrospectives, and release planning.I. Continuous Improvement & Innovation Stay current with Flutter/Dart releases, mobile development trends, AI-assisted development tools, security practices, and emerging technologies. Evaluate new libraries and technologies based on business value, maintainability, security, and technical risk. 4. Required QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline. Equivalent professional experience may also be considered.Experience: Preferably 5+ years of software/mobile application development experience, including at least 3+ years of strong hands-on Flutter/Dart development. Senior-level experience in architecture, code review, production troubleshooting, and mentoring is highly desirable.Candidates should demonstrate experience delivering and maintaining production applications, preferably including applications published to Google Play and/or the Apple App Store.5. Required Technical Knowledge & SkillsStrong proficiency is expected in Flutter, Dart, object-oriented programming, asynchronous programming, Flutter widgets and lifecycle, state management, responsive UI, API integration, JSON, Git, debugging, testing, and mobile application architecture.Working knowledge should include Firebase services, push notifications, local databases/storage, secure authentication, REST APIs, CI/CD concepts, Android/iOS build processes, App Store/Play Store deployment, performance optimization, and common mobile security practices.Experience with BLoC/Cubit, Riverpod, Provider, GetX, Clean Architecture, MVVM, Dio, Retrofit, Firebase, SQLite/Isar/Hive, GitHub/GitLab, Jira, Figma, or comparable technologies is advantageous.6. Senior-Level CompetenciesThe Senior Flutter Developer should demonstrate technical ownership, analytical problem solving, architectural thinking, quality orientation, accountability, collaboration, communication, adaptability, mentoring ability, and business awareness.At senior level, the expectation is not simply to complete assigned coding tasks. The employee should be able to understand the business requirement, challenge weak technical approaches constructively, propose appropriate solutions, estimate technical effort and risk, guide other developers, and take ownership through successful production delivery.7. Professional & Behavioral ExpectationsThe position is expected to protect source code, credentials, customer information, and confidential company data; follow company information-security and development policies; communicate risks and blockers early; avoid releasing untested or insecure code; document important technical decisions; and demonstrate professional accountability for assigned products and deliverables.The Senior Flutter Developer should also support a culture of continuous learning, constructive feedback, knowledge sharing, engineering excellence, and responsible use of AI-assisted development tools.8. Key StakeholdersInternal: CTO, Engineering Manager, Technical Lead, Product Manager, Business Analyst, UI/UX Designer, Backend Developers, Mobile Developers, QA Engineers, DevOps, Customer Support, and Business Operations.External: Technology vendors, API/service providers, implementation partners, and other approved technical partners where required.9. Success ProfileA successful Senior Flutter Developer is not only an experienced Flutter programmer.
