Senior Flutter Engineer

The RoleWe are looking for a Senior Flutter Engineer to join our mobile engineering team and play a key role in building and evolving Thawani's flagship mobile applications.This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys developing high-quality software, solving complex technical challenges, and collaborating closely with Product, Design, Backend, QA, and Engineering teams to deliver exceptional user experiences.Beyond writing code, you'll contribute to technical discussions, review code, mentor junior developers through day-to-day collaboration, and help maintain engineering standards across the mobile team.You will report directly to the Mobile Team Lead and work alongside a small, highly collaborative engineering team focused on delivering secure, scalable fintech solutions.What You'll Do* Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Flutter applications for Android and iOS.* Own features from technical design through production deployment.* Build reusable, maintainable, and scalable application components.* Follow and contribute to our Clean Architecture implementation.* Collaborate closely with Product Managers, UI/UX Designers, Backend Engineers, and QA throughout the development lifecycle.* Translate business requirements into robust technical solutions while understanding the impact of product decisions.* Integrate RESTful APIs.* Implement secure mobile development practices suitable for fintech applications.* Develop features including digital wallets, QR payments, NFC capabilities, banking integrations, transfers, bill payments, insurance services, and etc...* Optimize application performance, startup time, responsiveness, memory usage, and battery consumption.* Implement deep linking, Universal Links, App Links, push notifications, localization, analytics, and crash reporting.* Work with offline storage solutions such as Hive and SQLite.* Participate in code reviews and maintain high engineering standards.* Support and guide junior developers through knowledge sharing and technical collaboration.* Participate in technical interviews and code review exercises during the hiring process.* Stay current with Flutter, Dart, mobile platform updates, and emerging technologies.* Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude to improve engineering productivity while maintaining high code quality.Required Qualifications* 3+ years of professional mobile application development experience.* 1+ years of professional Flutter development experience.* Strong proficiency in Dart.* Experience developing and publishing production applications on both Google Play Store and Apple App Store.* Strong understanding of Clean Architecture and software design principles.* Experience using Provider for state management.* Experience integrating RESTful APIs.* Strong understanding of Git workflows and collaborative development.* Experience building maintainable, scalable, and testable applications.* Experience writing Unit Tests and Integration Tests.* Strong debugging and performance optimization skills.* Experience working with multiple application environments and Flutter flavors (Development, UAT, Production).* Experience implementing Deep Links, Universal Links, and Android App Links.* Experience implementing Push Notifications.* Experience with Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics.* Experience implementing application localization and internationalization.* Experience working with local storage solutions such as Hive or SQLite.Preferred Qualifications* Basic understanding of native Android (Kotlin) and iOS (Swift) development.* Familiarity with secure authentication and authorization mechanisms including OAuth and JWT.* Experience implementing secure mobile storage, biometric authentication, and encryption.* Experience working within Agile development teams.Nice to Have* Familiarity with AI-assisted software development practices.Why Join Thawani TechnologiesAt Thawani, you'll have the opportunity to work on products that are transforming digital payments across Oman and the GCC.You'll join a collaborative engineering team where your ideas matter, your technical expertise is valued, and you'll have the opportunity to influence products used by thousands of customers every day.We foster a culture of continuous learning, ownership, innovation, and engineering excellence while encouraging our teams to explore modern technologies and improve the way we build software.If you're passionate about Flutter, fintech, and building high-quality mobile applications that make a real-world impact, we'd love to hear from you.
