Senior Front-End Developer (JavaScript) - Part-time PositionWe are looking for a remote Senior Front-End Developer (JavaScript) with 5+ years of front-end development experience using JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and Squarespace to join our U.S. client on a project basis. In this role, you will build an interactive, mobile-responsive savings calculator as a lead-generation landing page within Squarespace, allowing restaurant owners to enter their marketplace delivery costs, calculate potential savings, and submit their contact information through a HubSpot form.Founded in 2003, our client transforms the traditional restaurant point-of-sale (POS) terminal into an integrated 360-degree operational management system. Their solution increases brand loyalty through improved customer experiences, optimizes operations resulting in lower costs, and increases sales volumes through comprehensive analytics and employee performance insights. Over 7,000 locations use their technology today processing $5 Billion in daily sales.ResponsibilitiesDevelop a responsive, interactive savings calculator landing page based on existing Figma designsBuild the solution using HTML, CSS, and vanilla JavaScript, packaged into a self-contained implementation compatible with Squarespace Code BlocksImplement dynamic forms with conditional fields, real-time validation, and user-friendly input formattingDevelop configurable calculation logic to estimate restaurant marketplace commission costs and potential monthly savingsResearch existing client calculators, propose savings calculation assumptions, and implement the approved formulasCreate interactive transitions and animations between calculator inputs, calculation progress, and resultsEnsure responsive behavior across desktop, iPhone, and Android devicesBuild a placeholder form and prepare the page for HubSpot form integration, including consistent styling and submission confirmation behaviorOrganize content, image references, and calculation variables into easily editable configuration sectionsTest, troubleshoot, and optimize the entire user experience within the Squarespace environmentCollaborate with Marketing to validate the calculation logic and ensure accurate implementation of approved requirementsRequired ExperienceExcellent English communication skills and ability to work with business and marketing stakeholders5+ years of professional front-end development experienceStrong proficiency in vanilla JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3Experience developing interactive interfaces with conditional rendering, form validation, and dynamic calculationsExperience implementing responsive, mobile-first designsAbility to translate Figma designs into accurate, production-ready web interfacesUnderstanding of browser compatibility, mobile usability, and accessibility best practicesExperience implementing CSS animations, transitions, and interactive UI componentsAbility to write clean, maintainable, well-organized JavaScript without depending on frameworks or external librariesExperience handling financial inputs, currency formatting, percentages, and calculation logicStrong debugging skills and experience testing across multiple browsers and devicesProven delivery experience in a vibrant, dynamic startup environmentA collaborative approach, a can-do attitude, and a relentless pursuit to attain goals and solve problemsTrustworthy, team-oriented, and transparentDesired ExperienceUniversity degree or relevant industry experiencePrevious experience with Squarespace, particularly custom Code Blocks, JavaScript customization, and CSS isolationExperience with HubSpot forms, embedded lead-generation forms, or similar marketing integrationsExperience developing ROI calculators, pricing calculators, or financial estimation toolsFamiliarity with conversion-focused landing pages and lead-generation workflowsKnowledge of web accessibility, including reduced-motion preferencesExperience with WordpressExperience collaborating with U.S.-based marketing teamsAdditional InformationKnowing your ideas are heard and matter think big!You get to own your job and be recognized for your contributionsWork with smart and creative peopleMaking mistakes is human.
