Senior Frontend Developer (Angular)

The RoleWe are looking for a Senior Frontend Developer to join our frontend engineering team and play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality web applications across Thawani's fintech platform.This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys building scalable, responsive, and user-friendly frontend solutions using Angular, solving complex technical challenges, and collaborating closely with UI/UX Designers, Backend Engineers, QA, and Product teams to deliver exceptional user experiences.Beyond writing code, you'll contribute to technical discussions, review code, mentor junior developers through day-to-day collaboration, and help maintain frontend development standards across the team.You will report directly to the Lead Frontend Developer and support them in delivering complex features while working alongside a small, highly collaborative engineering team focused on delivering secure, scalable fintech solutions.What You'll DoDesign, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and responsive frontend features using Angular and modern frontend technologies.Analyze business requirements and UI/UX designs, and translate them into high-quality, reusable, and maintainable frontend solutions.Integrate frontend applications with backend services and RESTful APIs, ensuring proper data handling, validation, and error management.Collaborate closely with UI/UX Designers, Backend Developers, QA Engineers, and the Lead Frontend Developer throughout the development lifecycle.Develop clean, efficient, and maintainable code following coding standards, best practices, and established architectural guidelines.Review code, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior developers to promote continuous learning and code quality.Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve frontend issues across development, testing, UAT, and production environments.Optimize application performance, responsiveness, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.Participate in technical discussions, task estimation, solution design, and continuous improvement of frontend architecture and development processes.Implement secure frontend development practices suitable for fintech applications.Participate in technical interviews and code review exercises during the hiring process.Stay current with emerging frontend technologies, Angular updates, and industry best practices, and recommend improvements where appropriate.Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude to improve engineering productivity while maintaining high code quality.Required Qualifications3+ years of professional frontend development experience.1+ years of professional Angular development experience.Strong proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS/SCSS.Strong understanding of Angular architecture, components, services, routing, and dependency injection.Experience with RxJS and reactive programming patterns.Experience integrating RESTful APIs with proper data handling, validation, and error management.Experience building responsive, cross-browser-compatible, and accessible web applications.Strong understanding of frontend architecture, software design principles, and reusable component design.Strong debugging and performance optimization skills.Experience working with multiple application environments (Development, UAT, Production).Strong understanding of Git workflows and collaborative development.Preferred QualificationsExperience with state management libraries such as NgRx.Familiarity with secure authentication and authorization mechanisms including OAuth and JWT.Experience with frontend build tools, CI/CD pipelines, and code quality tooling.Familiarity with micro-frontend architectures.Experience working within Agile development teams.Nice to HaveFamiliarity with AI-assisted software development practices.Why Join Thawani TechnologiesAt Thawani, you'll have the opportunity to work on products that are transforming digital payments across Oman and the GCC.You'll join a collaborative engineering team where your ideas matter, your technical expertise is valued, and you'll have the opportunity to influence products used by thousands of customers every day.We foster a culture of continuous learning, ownership, innovation, and engineering excellence while encouraging our teams to explore modern technologies and improve the way we build software.If you're passionate about Angular, fintech, and building high-quality web applications that make a real-world impact, we'd love to hear from you.
