The ideal candidate can quickly understand complex codebases, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and deliver high-quality features while maintaining performance, scalability, and code quality.This role requires a hands-on engineer who is comfortable making architectural decisions, reviewing code, resolving technical debt, and driving front-end development through to production.Key Responsibilities- Take ownership of an existing Next.js application and quickly ramp up on the current architecture, business requirements, and development roadmap.- Develop and maintain scalable, high-performance web applications using Next.js, React, TypeScript, and modern front-end technologies.- Collaborate with Product Managers, UX/UI Designers, front + fullstack + Backend Engineers, and QA teams to deliver features on schedule.- Review, refactor, and improve existing code to ensure maintainability and performance.- Implement responsive, accessible, and user-friendly interfaces.- Optimize application performance, Core Web Vitals, SEO, and page load times.- Design and consume RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL services.- Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to technical decision-making.- Establish and enforce front-end coding standards, testing practices, and CI/CD processes.- Mentor junior engineers and perform code reviews.Qualifications and Experience- 7+ years of professional front-end development experience.- 4+ years of experience with React.js.- 3+ years of experience with Next.js in production environments.- Strong proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3.- Experience taking over and contributing to an existing application rather than starting greenfield projects only.- Deep understanding of: o Server-Side Rendering (SSR)o Static Site Generation (SSG)o Incremental Static Regeneration (ISR)o App Router and Server Components- Experience with modern state management solutions such as: o Redux Toolkito Zustando React Query / TanStack Query- Strong understanding of web performance optimization and debugging.- Experience integrating with REST APIs and backend services.- Familiarity with Git workflows and Agile development practices.Preferred Qualifications- Experience with Vercel deployment and hosting.- Experience with Tailwind CSS, Material UI, or other component libraries.- Knowledge of Node.js and API development.- Experience with automated testing frameworks: o Jesto React Testing Libraryo Cypress or Playwright- Cloud experience (Azure).- Experience in micro-frontend architectures.Technical Stack- Next.js (Latest Version)- React- TypeScript- Tailwind CSS- REST / GraphQL APIs- GitHub- CI/CD Pipelines- Vercel / Cloud PlatformsWhat Success Looks LikeWithin the first 90 days, you will:- Fully understand the existing codebase and architecture.- Take ownership of key feature development and bug fixes.- Improve code quality and development velocity.- Contribute to architectural decisions and front-end best practices.- Help drive the project successfully through upcoming delivery milestones.Employment Type: Full-TimeSeniority Level: Senior Engineer / Lead Individual ContributorLocation: Remote
