The platform has helped nearly 1 million students find accommodation across more than 400 education hubs worldwide, supported by 24/7 accommodation experts.With a strong global B2C and B2B presence, including partnerships with 2,500+ education agencies and study-abroad partners, Casita continues to expand its international network and improve the student accommodation experience.Role DescriptionAs a Senior Frontend Developer – Next.js at Casita, you will design, develop, and optimize high-performance, scalable, and user-centric web experiences for our global student accommodation marketplace.You will work closely with Product Managers, UX/UI Designers, Backend Developers, QA, DevOps, and SEO teams to translate business and product requirements into scalable frontend solutions using Next.js, React, and TypeScript.Your day-to-day responsibilities will include developing new features, improving existing applications, integrating frontend components with APIs and backend services, optimizing application performance, improving Core Web Vitals, and maintaining responsive and accessible experiences across devices and browsers.You will also contribute to frontend architecture decisions, code reviews, engineering standards, technical documentation, and development best practices while mentoring other developers and supporting continuous improvement across the engineering team.This is a full-time, on-site role based in Gurugram.QualificationsStrong professional experience with Next.js, React, JavaScript, and TypeScript.Proven experience building and maintaining large-scale, production-grade frontend applications.Strong understanding of Next.js rendering strategies, including Server-Side Rendering (SSR), Static Site Generation (SSG), Incremental Static Regeneration (ISR), and client-side rendering.Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, responsive web design, and modern frontend styling approaches such as Tailwind CSS.Experience building reusable components and scalable frontend architectures.Strong understanding of React component architecture, hooks, state management, and modern frontend development patterns.Experience integrating frontend applications with RESTful APIs and backend services.Strong understanding of frontend performance optimization, including Core Web Vitals, bundle optimization, lazy loading, caching, image optimization, and rendering performance.Experience developing responsive, mobile-first, cross-browser interfaces with strong attention to accessibility, usability, and performance.Understanding of technical SEO principles relevant to modern JavaScript applications, including metadata, structured data, canonical tags, crawlability, and server-side rendering.Experience with Git, code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software development workflows.Experience with frontend testing tools such as Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or Playwright.Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Proven experience in a Senior Frontend Developer or similar role, preferably working on high-traffic consumer-facing platforms, marketplaces, travel, booking, e-commerce, or SaaS products.Experience mentoring developers and contributing to frontend architecture and engineering standards.Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Nice to HaveExperience working with large-scale marketplace or booking platforms.Experience optimizing Core Web Vitals for high-traffic websites.Familiarity with frontend state-management and data-fetching libraries such as React Query, Zustand, Redux, or similar tools.Experience with GraphQL, Elasticsearch, or Algolia.Experience with monitoring and performance tools such as Sentry, New Relic, Datadog, Lighthouse, or Chrome DevTools.Familiarity with AWS, Docker, CDN infrastructure, and modern deployment environments.Experience working with international, multi-language, or multi-market web platforms.
