Senior Frontend Developer

Location: Ghent (twice a week onsite)Contract: Payroll or FreelanceRole MissionAs a Frontend Engineer, your mission is to design, build, and evolve solutions that solve real customer problems and support business outcomes.

Responsibilities

1. Product-Focused EngineeringBuild, maintain, and evolve customer-facing web and cross-platform interfacesTranslate product goals into intuitive, accessible user experiencesEnsure solutions are:Maintainable and scalablePerformant and secureTested and observable in productionCollaborate with engineers to integrate APIs and data flowsParticipate in discovery, experimentation, and iterationContribute to mobile-first and multi-device experiences2. Engineering Quality & CraftsmanshipApply best practices in:Component design and reuseTesting and testabilityPerformance, accessibility, and resilienceError handling and observabilityTake ownership of quality and improve it over timeContribute to shared standards and best practicesReduce technical debt through pragmatic refactoringImprove developer experience (tooling, clarity, onboarding)Make sound technical decisions aligned with team and organisation3. Requirements
