We build seamless experiences around live events for every stakeholder in the ecosystem.Role PurposeThis role exists to lead the charge on turning product and design ideas into fast, reliable, and delightful experiences across web and mobile. You'll be setting technical direction on the frontend as thumpN expands geographically and into new categories.Key ResponsibilitiesFrontend Development:Lead feature development using React and React Native, owning the architecture decisions behind themTranslate ambiguous product requirements and designs into responsive, reusable, high-quality interfaces, often defining the approach for others on the team to followBuild and evolve the reusable components and design systems used across the productOwn API integration patterns and work closely with backend teams on contracts and performanceSet the bar for handling edge cases and polishing product detailsCross-Platform WorkOwn the consistency and quality of web and mobile experiencesDrive optimization for different screen sizes, devices, and network conditionsChampion performance, responsiveness, and accessibility as core engineering priorities, not afterthoughtsCollaborationPartner closely with Product, Design, and Engineering leadership to shape roadmap and technical approachLead code reviews, raise the bar on testing, and drive releasesOwn quality end-to-end from development through launch, and mentor junior frontend developersRequired Qualifications3-6 years building web or mobile applicationsStrong, production-grade JavaScript and/or TypeScript expertiseDeep, hands-on React experience, including performance and architecture decisionsSolid React Native experience, or a demonstrated ability to go deep in it quicklyStrong HTML, CSS, and responsive design expertiseProven experience with REST APIs and asynchronous data patternsStrong grasp of component-based architecture and judgment on when to introduce abstractionsGit and collaborative workflow experience, including leading code reviewsSharp debugging and problem-solving skills across the stackDemonstrated ability to work within and improve large, existing codebasesStrong communication and an ownership mindset, comfortable driving decisionsPreferred QualificationsExperience with state management tools (Redux, Zustand, React Query) at scaleExperience building or maintaining component libraries or design systemsFrontend performance optimization experience in productionFamiliarity with analytics tools (GA4, Mixpanel, Amplitude)Experience integrating multiple third-party servicesBackground in consumer products, marketplaces, or ticketing platformsExposure to AI productsExperience mentoring other engineersA passion for live entertainmentCore Competencies (Non-Negotiables)We're looking for candidates who demonstrate product-focused thinking beyond code, strong attention to detail in UX, ownership through testing and edge cases, a mentoring mindset, strong fundamentals in clean code and accessibility, clear communication across departments, and a real commitment to building user-centric experiences.Skills: web,react,building,frontend development,ticketing
