We need someone who can work independently across a complex AWS microservices architecture, takeownership of features and deliver production-quality software. AI-native engineering is a core requirement. You must be experienced in building your own AI coding agents, configuring development harnesses and integrating AI capabilities into production software.What You'll DoBuild and maintain backend services using Java, Spring Boot, TypeScript, Node.js, Fastify and Python.Develop frontend applications using Angular, TypeScript and PrimeNG.Design and maintain APIs, microservices and distributed systems.Build AI-powered features and intelligent automation into our platform.Build, configure and orchestrate custom AI coding agents.Configure IDEs, agent harnesses, MCP servers, custom skills and automated development workflows.Develop real-time application features using Socket.IO.Integrate LLMs and AI services using AWS Bedrock.Work across AWS infrastructure, databases and event-driven systems.Own features end-to-end, from requirements through to production deployment.Essential RequirementsJava & Spring Boot: Strong commercial experience with Java 17/21, Spring Boot and production microservices.TypeScript & Node.js: Advanced TypeScript development, Node.js, Fastify and backend API engineering.Python: Strong Python development experience, including backend services, APIs and automation.AI-Native Development: Advanced hands-on experience using Claude Code, Cursor, OpenAI Codex or equivalent coding agents.Custom Agents & Harnesses: Proven ability to build, configure and orchestrate AI coding agents, MCP integrations, custom tools and development workflows.AI Platform Engineering: Experience integrating LLMs and AI-powered capabilities into production applications.Angular: Strong experience developing enterprise frontend applications using Angular and TypeScript.AWS: Experience with ECS, Lambda, S3, API Gateway and containerised cloud applications.AWS Bedrock: Practical experience integrating foundation models and AI services into applications.Socket.IO: Experience building real-time features and bidirectional communication.Databases: Strong SQL experience, ideally MySQL, plus Redis.Architecture: Microservices, distributed systems, REST APIs and event-driven processing.DevOps: Docker, Git, CI/CD, automated testing and production troubleshooting.Autonomy: Ability to independently design, build, test and deploy complex features with minimal supervision.Highly DesirablePHP, Laravel and Vue.jsFastAPI and CeleryKafka, Amazon MSK and event-driven architectureKeycloak, ClickHouse, OpenSearch and DebeziumBullMQ and ConnectRPCJenkins, SonarQube, Trivy and New RelicRAG, vector search, embeddings and LLM evaluationMulti-agent orchestration and advanced AI application architectureWho We're Looking ForYou're a highly capable engineer with strong fundamentals across Java, TypeScript and Python who has fully embraced AI-native software development.
