Apply & track with Apply EdgeThis software company have built a product that's been running for over a decade. It's used every day by clinical and admin staff across multiple sites in the public health sector. It works, and that's part of the challenge. After years of feature layering on a mature, highly configurable platform, the team wants to step back and modernise the technology underneath it, not just keep adding to the surface. You'd join a small, remote-first engineering team that get close to the people who actually use the product. Engineers here present their own work directly to end users and client steering groups several times a year, and it shapes what gets built next. This is a broad role by design. Spec writing, coding, testing, and some infrastructure and environment upkeep all sit with you, alongside a genuine say in how the product evolves technically. The platform is deliberately built to be configurable rather than forked into one-off builds per client, which brings its own kind of complexity. You'll work across a modern Angular/TypeScript front end and a C#/.NET backend, with SQL underneath, on software that has to be right because it sits in a regulated, safety-critical setting. AI tooling is already part of daily practice here, used across the whole team. What's on offer:End-to-end ownership, from writing the spec through to shipping it and presenting it to the people using it.Real depth on both sides of the stack, Angular/TypeScript and C#/.NET.A seat in the room where the product's technical future gets decided, not just its next feature.AI coding tools like Claude Code and Copilot, already built into how the team works. Some room to mentor others, if that's part of what you're looking for next. You'll work fully remotely, earn a salary £60,000 - £75,000 + a strong pension and holiday allowance. For more information, contact Sean Gilger, or apply now for immediate consideration.
