Based in Kuala Lumpur & Selangor, ASM Tech is committed to democratizing advanced technology so ASEAN businesses can compete globally as builders in the AI revolution.What you will do* Own backend, frontend, database, deployment and monitoring* Run projects end to end: scope, plan, track delivery in Linear, and keep the CEO and clients updated* Maintain and extend an Android field app with a web admin dashboard* Build AI features: LLM API integration, RAG over PostgreSQL/pgvector, prompt design, evals* Set engineering standards: code review, CI/CD, documentation, security* Help hire and onboard the next developerWhat we are looking for* Min 5+ years building and maintaining production web applications* Project management experience: scoping, estimating, tracking delivery, client communication* Python (FastAPI/Django) or TypeScript/Node; React/Next.js with TypeScript* PostgreSQL to a serious level; Azure or equivalent cloud; Docker, GitHub Actions* Security-minded: PDPA-grade data handling* Hands-on with LLM APIs (Anthropic, OpenAI or Azure OpenAI)* Daily user of AI coding tools, and able to verify what they produce* Clear English; comfortable explaining trade-offs to non-technical stakeholdersNice to have: fine-tuning (LoRA/QLoRA), ROS 2 or NVIDIA Jetson exposure, mentoring experience.
