Senior Fullstack Developer

We are looking for a Senior Fullstack Developer to join an agile engineering team in Amsterdam. The position is strongly backend-oriented, with Java as the core technology, while requiring solid hands-on experience with React.js for frontend development. The successful candidate will take ownership of the full software development lifecycle, from solution design and development through testing, deployment, production support and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Design and develop scalable, reliable and high-quality applications. Work primarily on backend development using Java. Develop and maintain frontend components using React.js. Participate in solution and software architecture decisions. Develop, test, deploy and maintain production applications. Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide effective solutions. Ensure application performance, scalability, security and reliability. Apply clean code, software engineering and development best practices. Work within an Agile/Scrum engineering environment. Collaborate with developers, architects, product owners and other stakeholders. Take ownership of technical solutions from design through production support. Contribute to CI/CD, automation and continuous improvement initiatives. Must-Have Requirements 🔴 Essential 7–10+ years of professional software development experience. Strong Java development experience. Strong backend engineering experience. Hands-on experience with React.js. Experience working as a Fullstack Developer / Fullstack Engineer. Experience with software architecture and design. Experience developing, testing and deploying production applications. Strong understanding of scalable and maintainable software development. English proficiency. Based in Amsterdam / Amsterdam area and able to work 2–3 days onsite. Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
