Mid to Senior Functional Consultant – Hospital Management System (EMR)Department: Product / Software EngineeringPosition: Mid to Senior Functional ConsultantSalary : up to 2,000,000 MMKEmail : yinmin.mic@gmail.comPhone : 09 777 047 817About the RoleWe are looking for a Functional Consultant to join our Hospital Management System (HMS) /Electronic Medical Record (EMR) product team.The Functional Consultant will act as the bridge between healthcare users, businessstakeholders, and the product & technical teams. The role is responsible for understandinghospital and clinical workflows, gathering requirements, translating them into functionalsolutions, supporting system implementation, and helping healthcare organizations successfullyadopt the system.This role is suitable for someone who enjoys understanding how hospitals operate and usingtechnology to improve clinical and operational processes.Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness & Clinical Requirement AnalysisWork closely with doctors, nurses, receptionists, pharmacists, administrators, financeteams, and hospital management to understand their workflows and requirements.Conduct requirement-gathering workshops and stakeholder interviews.Analyze existing hospital processes and identify opportunities for process improvementand digitalization.Translate business and clinical requirements into clear functional requirements, userstories, workflows, and acceptance criteria.Identify gaps between customer requirements and existing system functionality.Hospital & EMR Workflow DesignUnderstand and help design workflows across areas such as:Patient Registration & Patient Profile Appointment & Queue ManagementOutpatient (OPD) ManagementInpatient (IPD) ManagementElectronic Medical Records (EMR)Doctor Consultation & Clinical NotesDiagnosis & Treatment RecordsMedication & Prescription ManagementLaboratory ManagementRadiology / ImagingPharmacy ManagementAdmission, Transfer & DischargeBilling & PaymentInsurance / Corporate Patient ManagementInventory & Medical SuppliesDoctor and Staff ManagementReporting & Management DashboardsProduct & Solution DesignWork closely with Product Managers, UI/UX Designers, Developers, and QA Engineers todefine functional solutions.Participate in product feature discussions and provide healthcare-domain input.Prepare process flows, functional specifications, screen requirements, and businessrules.Review proposed UI/UX designs from a functional and user-workflow perspective.Help prioritize requirements based on business value, operational impact, and productstrategy.Ensure new functionality can support both customer-specific needs and the broaderproduct roadmap.Implementation & ConfigurationSupport implementation projects from requirement gathering through go-live.Assist with system configuration based on hospital requirements.Coordinate master-data preparation and migration activities with customers and technicalteams.Conduct functional testing and validate whether implemented features meet businessrequirements.Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and manage functional issues identified duringimplementation.Assist with go-live preparation and post-go-live stabilization.User Training & AdoptionPrepare user guides, workflow documentation, and training materials.Conduct system demonstrations and training sessions for hospital users.Help users understand recommended workflows and system best practices.Collect feedback from users and translate it into product improvement opportunities.Support customers during the transition from manual or legacy processes to the newsystem.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, BusinessInformation Systems, Healthcare Management, Health Informatics, Medical or arelated field.Experience as a Functional Consultant, Business Analyst, Product Analyst,Implementation Consultant, or similar role.Strong requirement-gathering and business-process analysis skills.Ability to translate business requirements into clear functional specifications.Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.Comfortable working directly with both business users and software development teams.Good written and spoken English.Preferred QualificationsExperience in one or more of the following is highly desirable:Hospital Management Systems (HMS)Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR)Clinic Management SystemsPharmacy SystemsLaboratory Information Systems (LIS)Healthcare software implementationERP or other enterprise application implementationHealthcare operations or hospital administrationKnowledge of healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7 or FHIR would be anadvantage but is not mandatory.What We Are Looking ForWe are particularly interested in someone who:Is curious about how hospitals and healthcare organizations operate.Can communicate effectively with both healthcare professionals and software engineers.Thinks in terms of end-to-end business processes, rather than individual screens orfeatures.Can challenge unclear requirements and identify the actual business problem behind arequest.Is comfortable working in a growing product environment where requirements andworkflows continue to evolve.Has a strong sense of ownership and can follow requirements from initial discussionthrough implementation and user adoption.
