You'll play a critical role in shaping an exclusive collection while working alongside industry experts committed to quality, craftsmanship, and excellence.If you enjoy building relationships with vendors around the world, discovering exceptional pieces, and influencing inventory strategy, we'd love to hear from you.Reports to the CFOO and works closely with Owner & CEOMust be willing to work in the office Monday through FridayMust have Jewelry experienceWhat You'll Do:As the Senior Buyer / Gemstone Sourcer, you will:Source and purchase diamonds, colored gemstones, precious metals, estate jewelry, and finished jewelry from trusted domestic and international suppliers.Build and maintain long-term relationships with dealers, manufacturers, gemstone suppliers, auction houses, and private sellers.Evaluate gemstones and jewelry for authenticity, quality, rarity, and value using professional gemological expertise.Negotiate pricing, terms, and purchasing agreements while maximizing value and protecting margins.Identify new sourcing opportunities by monitoring market trends, industry events, and emerging suppliers.Partner with merchandising, production, finance, and leadership to support inventory planning and new product initiatives.Maintain optimal inventory levels while balancing quality, demand, and investment.Support logistics, shipping, and vendor coordination to ensure timely receipt of merchandise.Maintain accurate purchasing records, vendor documentation, and inventory information.Champion ethical sourcing practices and supplier transparency.We're Looking For Someone Who Has:GIA Graduate Gemologist certification (required)5+ years of buying, sourcing, or procurement experience within the fine jewelry or luxury goods industryJewelry Industry ExperienceStrong knowledge of diamonds, colored gemstones, precious metals, and jewelry manufacturingExperience evaluating gemstone quality, pricing, and authenticityExceptional negotiation and vendor relationship management skillsExperience sourcing internationally and working with global suppliersStrong business acumen with the ability to balance quality, pricing, and inventory investmentExcellent organizational and communication skillsExperience with estate jewelry or vintage jewelry is highly desirableManagement or leadership experience is a plusWhy You'll Love This Opportunity:Work with exceptional gemstones and one-of-a-kind jewelryInfluence purchasing strategy for a premier luxury brandBuild relationships with some of the industry's most respected suppliersCompetitive salary plus bonus opportunityComprehensive medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k)Paid time off and company holidaysCollaborative, entrepreneurial culture where your expertise is valuedOpportunity for domestic and international travel to industry events and sourcing opportunitiesTravel - Occasional domestic and international travel is expected for vendor meetings, trade shows, auctions, and sourcing events.
