The team culture prioritizes compassion, clinical excellence, and innovation in every aspect of patient care.Role Description The Senior General Dentist will provide comprehensive dental care, including diagnosis, treatment planning, and execution of general dental procedures such as restorations, extractions, prophylaxis, and basic endodontic and prosthodontic treatments. This full-time on-site role, based in Chennai, involves managing patient consultations, reviewing medical and dental histories, ordering and interpreting radiographs, and ensuring adherence to strict infection control and sterilization protocols. The role includes supervising junior dentists and clinical staff, collaborating closely with specialists for interdisciplinary cases, and contributing to complex treatment plans for long-term oral health. The Senior General Dentist will also educate patients about treatment options, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions, while maintaining detailed clinical documentation and supporting continuous quality improvement initiatives at the hospital.Qualifications Clinical dentistry skills: Strong proficiency in diagnosis, treatment planning, restorative procedures, extractions, basic endodontics, and management of common dental emergencies.Patient care and communication: Ability to build trust, listen actively, explain treatment options clearly, and provide empathetic, culturally sensitive care to diverse patient groups.Quality and safety: Thorough understanding of infection control, sterilization protocols, and adherence to national and international clinical standards and guidelines.Collaboration and leadership: Experience working within multidisciplinary teams, mentoring junior clinicians, and coordinating care with specialists for complex cases.Professional qualifications: Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from a recognized institution; MDS in a relevant specialty is an advantage.
