Senior Geologist

An International Mining company is looking for an experienced Senior geologist to be based in Cote d’Ivoire.To be successful in the role you will have:Technical Expertise: Has geological expertise and insights to guide exploration strategies and decision-making processesProject Leadership: Can Lead and manage geological exploration projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.Team Management: Can supervise and mentor junior geologists and field teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.Data Analysis: Can conduct and oversee detailed geological and structural analysis, sampling, and data collection activities. Analyse and interpret geological data to identify mineral deposits and exploration targets.Reporting: Has experience of preparing comprehensive technical reports, presentations, and documentation on exploration findings and project progress for both internal and external stakeholders.Compliance: Able to ensure all exploration activities comply with relevant environmental, safety, and regulatory standards and best practices.Risk Management: Can Identify and mitigate geological risks associated with exploration projects, ensuring sound management strategies are in place.Preferably has proficiency in QGIS, and experience of 3D software i.e Leapfrog/ MicrominePreferably has strong greenfields and brownfields experience and a track record of discovery.8+ years experience as a geologist in a Greenfields or Brownfields mine environmentMasters level preferableStrong organiserHard workerSpeaks French and EnglishIs ambitious and has clear career goals
