Through our landmark joint ventures with highly regarded Saudi resource companies, and our own targeted exploration prospects, we are developing a new benchmark for resource development while also actively contributing to the development of the resource sector in Saudi.Role Description:The Senior Geologist - Generative Exploration will lead prospect and campaign-scale generative exploration work packages, converting regional concepts, prospectivity outputs and field evidence into ranked, testable and drill-ready targets while maintaining high standards of safety, data quality and geological interpretation.

Responsibilities

Target Generation & Field ValidationPlan and lead prospect-scale mapping, sampling, prospecting, trenching and first-pass drilling / target testing within approved Generative Exploration programs.Convert regional geological concepts and prospectivity outputs into explicit target hypotheses, field tests, decision criteria and ranked follow-up recommendations.Plan and supervise integrated field activities using geological mapping, geochemistry, geophysics and drilling to generate and assess exploration targets.Integrated Interpretation & Target ModelsIntegrate field observations with geology, structure, geochemistry, geophysics, remote sensing and historical data to build defensible regional-, camp- and target-scale interpretations.Develop robust target models covering lithology, stratigraphy, structure, alteration and mineralisation; update ranking as new evidence is acquired.Use GIS, 3D modelling and predictive-targeting / prospectivity tools to identify gaps, test alternative interpretations and define the highest-value next field action.Field Leadership, Data Quality & ReportingLead assigned geologists and field crews; maintain safe, disciplined and productive execution, complete field records and reliable sample chain-of-custody.Apply sampling and QA/QC standards, validate field and laboratory data, and escalate material geological, HSE, access or data-quality risks promptly.Prepare target sheets, maps, sections, concise technical reports and campaign recommendations; coach junior geologists in mapping, targeting, logging and data-management practice.Experience:6–12 years progressive mineral-exploration experience, with strong greenfield / generative exploration exposure and demonstrated field-based target generation.Experience planning and executing mapping, geochemical sampling, geophysical follow-up and early-stage drilling / trenching programs.Demonstrated ability to integrate multidisciplinary datasets into ranked targets and clear next-step recommendations.Experience leading small field teams or discrete exploration work packages in remote environments; Arabian-Nubian Shield exposure is advantageous.

Qualifications

Degree in Geology, Geological Engineering or a related earth-science discipline.MSc or relevant postgraduate study advantageous; professional geoscience membership encouraged.Working knowledge of exploration data QA/QC and JORC / NI 43-101 reporting expectations preferred.Proficiency with GIS and digital field-data systems; working capability in 3D geological modelling and geochemical interpretation software preferred.Functional & Technical Skills:Greenfield / generative exploration, mineral-systems thinking, target generation and prospect-scale geological mapping.Structural, lithological and alteration interpretation; design of field tests that discriminate between competing target concepts.Integration of geological, geochemical, geophysical and remote-sensing datasets into ranked target models.GIS (ArcGIS/QGIS), 3D geological modelling (Leapfrog/Micromine or equivalent), geochemical analysis (e.g. ioGAS) and digital field-data workflows.Prospectivity mapping / predictive-targeting literacy, including the ability to interrogate model outputs rather than accept rankings uncritically.Sampling design, chain-of-custody, QA/QC, concise technical reporting and practical field logistics / contractor coordination.Work Location:Field-based role with extended camp rotations during active Generative Exploration campaigns.Regular travel within KSA; remote-conditions capability and practical 4WD/off-road awareness required.Flexibility may be required as Midana’s KSA exploration portfolio develops and expands.
