This full-time, on-site role includes planning and supervising geophysical data acquisition, interpreting seismic and other geophysical datasets, and integrating results with geological and reservoir models. The role involves overseeing data processing workflows, ensuring data quality, and providing technical recommendations for well locations and field development. The Senior Geophysicist will collaborate closely with geology, drilling, and reservoir teams, prepare technical reports and presentations, and contribute to project planning, risk assessment, and decision-making.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong skills in Geophysics and Geophysical Surveys, including seismic survey design and interpretation.Candidates should possess skills in Geophysical Data Processing and Data Processing, with experience in modern processing workflows and software tools.Candidates should possess skills in Data Acquisition, including planning, QC oversight, and coordination with field crews and service providers.Advanced degree in Geophysics, Geological Sciences, or a related field, with substantial experience in oil and gas exploration and production.Proficiency with industry-standard geophysical and seismic interpretation software, and familiarity with integrated subsurface workflows.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and remote field environments.Proven track record in leading projects, mentoring junior professionals, and applying HSE and ethical standards in exploration activities.Willingness to live and work on-site in Mauritania and to travel to field locations as needed.
