Senior Geophysicist

Role SummaryThe Senior Geophysicist will support exploration and development activities by managing seismic interpretation, subsurface evaluation, reservoir modelling, and technical presentations for Joint Venture partners. The role will provide technical advice to support strategic asset decisions and contribute to exploration, appraisal, and development programmes. Key ResponsibilitiesLead 2D/3D seismic interpretation and subsurface evaluations.Manage seismic acquisition, processing QA/QC, and interpretation workflows.Support reservoir modelling and prospect maturation activities.Prepare and present technical recommendations to JV committees and management.Assist with exploration, appraisal, and development work programmes.Contribute to geophysical best practices, procedures, and capability development. Mandatory QualificationsMSc in Geophysics, Earth Sciences, or a related discipline.10-15 years of experience in upstream Oil & Gas.Operator experience with a major or large independent E&P company.Strong hands-on experience in seismic acquisition, processing, and interpretation.Experience evaluating subsurface opportunities in North Africa.Proficiency in geophysical software such as Petrel and/or Decision Space.Fluent in both English and Arabic.Strong stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.Preferred ProfileExperience working in North Africa.Proven ability to engage with Joint Venture partners and regulatory stakeholders.Strong commercial awareness and technical leadership capability.
