Location: Bengaluru, HyderabadJob DescriptionWe are looking for a skilled Senior Backend Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Golang to design, develop, and scale distributed, high-throughput backend systems.The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Go microservices, event-driven architecture, Kafka, payment integrations, database optimization, and production-grade backend engineering.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain scalable Go microservices and RESTful APIs.Build event-driven systems using Kafka, including Outbox patterns, retries, and idempotency.Design and integrate webhooks with reliable delivery mechanisms.Integrate third-party payment gateways, handling transaction flows, reconciliation, refunds, and failure scenarios.Develop concurrent applications using Goroutines, Channels, Context, and graceful shutdown mechanisms.Design efficient data models and optimize SQL/NoSQL databases.Implement caching strategies using Redis.Work with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms.Write unit and integration tests, conduct code reviews, and maintain code quality.Monitor production systems, troubleshoot issues, and drive root-cause analysis.Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver reliable backend solutions.Required Skills5+ years of backend development experience.Strong hands-on expertise in Golang.Advanced Go concepts: Goroutines, Channels, Sync primitives, Worker Pools, Context, and Graceful Shutdown.Strong experience in Microservices and Distributed Systems.Hands-on experience with Kafka or similar message brokers.Experience with REST APIs, Webhooks, and Payment Gateway Integrations.Strong SQL knowledge (PostgreSQL/MySQL).Experience with Redis and caching strategies.Working knowledge of Docker, CI/CD, and AWS/GCP.Understanding of JWT, OAuth, and Role-Based Access Control.Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, Kibana, New Relic, and CloudWatch.Strong problem-solving, communication, and ownership skills.Good to HaveGo Monorepos and Bazel.API Gateways such as KrakenD.Fintech, Payments, or E-commerce domain experience.OpenSearch or Elasticsearch.Clean Architecture and Domain-Driven Design.Experience with high-volume, high-concurrency systems.Mentoring or team leadership experience.
