This is an excellent opportunity for someone currently operating as a Senior Analyst or Compliance Advisor who is looking to broaden their experience across governance, risk and regulatory compliance, while gaining valuable management responsibility.The OpportunityThis is a varied, hands-on role combining technical compliance advisory work, team supervision, stakeholder management and wider governance projects. You'll play a key role in supporting the firm's risk management framework, acting as a trusted adviser to colleagues across the business and helping to drive a strong culture of compliance and quality.You'll also have the opportunity to develop leadership skills, managing and mentoring junior team members while working closely with senior stakeholders on strategic initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and support junior members of the Governance & Risk teamProvide practical advice on AML, conflicts, SRA regulatory requirements and data protection mattersManage and oversee key compliance processes and controlsReview and interpret regulatory developments and assist with policy updatesDeliver compliance training across the businessSupport internal audits and external accreditation processesPrepare governance reports and committee papersBuild strong relationships with partners and business services teams to promote best practice and risk awarenessContribute to firmwide compliance and governance projectsAbout YouYou'll ideally have:Strong Risk & Compliance experience gained within a law firmGood knowledge of AML regulations, conflicts management, SRA requirements and wider regulatory complianceExperience handling complex compliance queries and providing risk-based adviceExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsStrong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing prioritiesPrevious supervisory or mentoring experience, although formal management experience is not essentialWhy Apply?Genuine opportunity to step into a broader and more strategic roleExposure to a wide range of governance, risk and compliance mattersOpportunity to develop people management experienceSupportive and collaborative cultureExcellent long-term career progression prospectsIf you're looking to move beyond a specialist compliance role and gain broader governance, risk and leadership exposure within a respected law firm, we'd love to hear from you.Apply directly or contact me for a confidential discussion.zalioulton@taylorroot.com
