About the jobWe are looking for an enthusiastic and capable hardware engineer who can take responsibility for the design, development and validation of electronic (sub)systems. You will be involved in product development and R&D projects, working primarily on advanced military communication and sensing solutions.You will join a hardware engineering team consisting of approx. 5 engineers with a similar background. Within most projects, you will collaborate with colleagues from other disciplines, including digital design, embedded software and system engineering.We are a small and dynamic high-tech company that focuses on product development for Defence and Security applications. Affinity with this application domain is essential. Your starting salary will depend on your experience and qualifications; the indicative salary range is € 4500 to € 6500 gross/month, not including vacation pay, bonuses and profit sharing. You will receive an annual pay rise depending on performance relative to your targets, that are agreed upon annually.Due to the hands-on and collaborative nature of our work, this position is fully on-site. Our projects involve close interaction with colleagues, specialist equipment and secure development environments, which means that remote working is not feasible for this role. Candidates must be able to travel to work daily or be willing to relocate if necessary.ResponsibilitiesYour responsibilities will include:Designing and developing electronics for military communication and sensing applications.Performing simulations and basing design decisions on simulation results.Selecting components, designing schematics, routing PCBs.Developing and executing test and validation plans.Writing technical documentation.SkillsThe following skills are required for this position:Experienced with hardware design/ simulation software such as: Altium, Fusion 360 and LTspiceAbility to provide guidance to teams of software and hardware engineers and leading technical design tasks.Ability to coach and instruct junior engineers and interns.Planning and executing tasks independently.Qualifications and educationThe following education requirements apply for this position:Required: Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical EngineeringOR: relevant work experience or education equivalent to the above.A certificate of conduct (VOG) is required. A security screening procedure may be part of the selection process, or may be required at any point during your employment.ExperienceWe require a minimum of 3-5 years of full-time experience with electronics design.
