The company is a respected engineering service provider for highly reliable embedded electronics and software solutions, operating in future-oriented industries such as medical technology, industrial automation, railway technology, security and defense technology.About the RoleYou will be involved in the end-to-end development of complex printed circuit boards (PCBs) — from requirements, specification and EMC-optimized layout through commissioning, testing, and handover to manufacturing — interfacing with software and mechanical engineering and using modern design and simulation tools.ResponsibilitiesYour ResponsibilitiesDevelopment & Implementation: Design and implementation of sophisticated PCB layouts with up to 20 layersProject Involvement: Supporting electronics projects from specification through to series productionProject Types: From new innovative designs to obsolescence removal solutionsDesign Optimization: EMC, signal integrity, impedance matching, crosstalk, and thermal behaviorInterdisciplinary Collaboration: Close cooperation with software engineering/mechanical engineering/industrial designProduction Focus: Supporting Design for Manufacturing (DFM), testability, and the transfer of production data to manufacturing partnersCommissioning & Testing: Evaluation of functional assemblies, with a focus on digital circuitsDocumentation: Preparation of specifications, development documentation, test reports, and test/inspection documentationQualificationsYour ProfileExperience: At least 5 years of solid professional experience in electronics development and/or PCB layoutTool Expertise: Very good practical knowledge of Siemens / Mentor Xpedition (experience with Altium, PADS, or KiCAD is a welcome addition)Technical Expertise: In-depth understanding of electronic circuit development and modern design methodologiesTeamwork: Experience working with international, distributed development teamsLanguages: Proficient German and/or English skills, both written and spokenRequired SkillsAt least 5 years of solid professional experience in electronics development and/or PCB layoutVery good practical knowledge of Siemens / Mentor XpeditionIn-depth understanding of electronic circuit development and modern design methodologiesExperience working with international, distributed development teamsProficient German and/or English skills, both written and spokenAdditional Qualifications (as a plus)Knowledge of analogue circuit design, FPGA integration, power electronicsExperience with specialized technologies, e.g. flexible PCBs, high-current designExperience using PCB simulation tools such as SPICEFamiliarity with industry standards such as IEC 60601 (medical technology), ISO 26262 (automotive) or ISO 61508 (functional safety)Pay range and compensation package65-85 kEUR per year, depending on actual professional experience and skillsb1 Engineering Solutions offersProfessional Development: Interdisciplinary project teams and structured onboarding with a dedicated mentorFlexibility: Flexible working-time models and hybrid options (project-dependent)Relocation Support: Assistance with relocation, administrative procedures, and coverage of language courses, if requiredCompany Culture: Flat hierarchies, short decision-making processes, transparent communication, and regular team eventsContactIf you are interested in this position or would you simply like to find out more, please send your CV, including your salary expectations and notice period, directly to: Holger Soukup COO b1 Engineering Group
