Apply & track with Apply EdgeOur client, a leading manufacturing company, is looking to hire a Senior Health & Safety Specialist in Graniteville, NC.This role will lead health and safety initiatives within a manufacturing environment and partner closely with operations, maintenance, engineering, and leadership teams to promote a strong safety culture and ensure regulatory compliance.๐ Location: Graniteville, SC๐ฐ Salary: $90,000 โ $120,000/year
Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and continuously improve health and safety programs, policies, procedures, and standards.Partner with manufacturing, maintenance, engineering, and leadership teams to identify and mitigate workplace hazards.Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, job hazard analyses, and workplace inspections.Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action plans.Monitor safety metrics, injury trends, workers' compensation data, and regulatory reporting requirements.Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and applicable industry standards.Coordinate regulatory inspections and serve as a liaison with health and safety agencies.Develop and deliver safety training for employees, contractors, and leaders.Support emergency preparedness, response planning, and crisis management.Facilitate safety committees and employee engagement initiatives.Lead safety projects and continuous improvement initiatives.Apply analytical and technical problem-solving skills to improve safety performance.Build strong relationships with employees, leadership, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or a related field.5+ years of progressive health and safety experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or heavy-production environment.Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety compliance.Experience with incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.Experience conducting safety audits, risk assessments, and hazard identification.Knowledge of ergonomics, machine guarding, LOTO, confined space, hot work, and contractor safety.Experience developing and delivering safety training.Experience with OSHA recordkeeping, injury/illness reporting, and regulatory documentation.Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.Strong analytical, communication, leadership, and project management skills.Ability to respond to off-shift safety incidents, emergencies, or audits as needed.Preferred Certifications:CSP โ Certified Safety ProfessionalASP โ Associate Safety ProfessionalCIH โ Certified Industrial HygienistOHST โ Occupational Health and Safety TechnologistFirst Aid/CPR/AED Instructor CertificationABOUT US:PrideNow is Pride Global's light industrial staffing organization, a distinguished division within the Pride Global umbrella.Aligned with the overarching mission of Pride Global, we specialize in delivering top-tier human resources and workforce solutions to the light industrial industry.
