Easy Apply now by clicking the "Easy Apply" buttonand sending us your resume.Salary: $110,000 - $125,000 per yearA bit about us:Founded nearly three decades ago and based in St. Charles, IL, with other offices in Chicago, the Pacific Northwest, and Mexico, our client is a privately owned, asset-hybrid third-party logistics provider specializing in mission-critical freight.Why join us?Competitive Compensation: Up to $135,000 base salary (DOE) + Bonus401(k) with Company MatchComprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life InsuranceGenerous PTO & Paid HolidaysHigh-Impact Role: Visibility with executive leadership and real ownership of the HR functionBuild Something: Shape HR practices and processes at a company in growth modeCollaborative Work Environment: Join a close-knit, supportive team with room to grow alongside the companyOn-site at our St. Charles headquartersJob DetailsKey Responsibilities and DutiesPartner with business leaders to translate workforce plans into hiring, capability building, retention, succession, and organizational actionsOversee employee relations, workplace investigations, performance management, and leave requests; partner with legal counsel on high-risk mattersRun the annual people cycle: talent reviews, succession inputs, performance calibration, compensation planning, and development follow-throughPartner with executive leadership and Finance on recruiting, compensation, benefits, HR systems, people data, and workforce budgetsMaintain sound HR controls, accurate records, policy governance, and employment law compliance across multiple locationsDevelop and implement strategies to strengthen employee engagement, morale, and productivityBuild scalable HR practices to support growth and continuously improve HR processesManage full-cycle recruiting and onboarding, from job postings and interviews through new hire orientationQualificationsNeeded:Bachelor's degree or equivalent experienceMinimum 5 years of progressive HR experience, ideally 5 to 7 yearsBroad experience across employee relations, investigations, performance management, talent, and core HR operationsWorking knowledge of federal and state employment laws, including leave administration (FMLA/ADA)Experience running an annual people cycle: performance reviews, talent and succession reviews, and compensation planningHands-on recruiting and onboarding experienceProven ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and handle sensitive matters with discretionAbility to work on-site in St. Charles, ILPreferred:SHRM-SCP or SPHRExperience in a growing or entrepreneurial environment, including acquisition integrationMulti-site or organizational change/transformation experienceExperience operating as a lean or one-person HR functionTransportation, logistics, or other multi-site operations backgroundInterested in hearing more?
