Job Responsibilities

Oversee daily HR operations for the Malaysia office, including onboarding, offboarding, employee data management, letter issuance, and documentation.Coordinate and support local payroll runs, working closely with payroll vendors and finance to ensure accuracy and timeliness.Ensure compliance with the Malaysia Employment Act and other related legislations, acting as the go-to expert for HR-related inquiries regarding local practices, policies, benefits, and procedures.Act as the authorised local point of contact for statutory registrations and government-related HR matters (e.g. EPF, SOCSO, EIS) where a Malaysia-based representative is required.Identify opportunities for process enhancements and implement best practices to drive efficiency within HR operations.Develop, review, and maintain HR policies and procedures to ensure alignment with local labor law and organizational goals.Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and documentation within HR systems and databases.Support audits, statutory reporting, and any local government/regulatory submissions.Partner with regional HR/People teams to ensure processes are consistent yet locally compliant.Take ownership of other HR-related operational projects as assigned.

Job Requirements

Tertiary education in Human Resources Management or business-related disciplines.At least 3-5 years of experience in HR Operations, with strong exposure to Malaysia payroll and employment law.Well versed with the Malaysia Employment Act and other related legislations.Strong communication skills with a flexible and approachable attitude.Strong problem solver with commitment to tackle problems in a positive and logical manner.Proactive, responsible, well-organized, and strong team player.Tech-savvy, comfortable using HRIS/ AI systems and open to adopting new tools.Fluency in English, Mandarin, and Malay is a must, due to the need to liaise with local Malaysian stakeholders and regional teams across different language groups.Immediately available will be preferred.By submitting a job application, you confirm that you have read and agree to our Candidate Privacy Policy. <https://www.bit.com/privacy-candidate>
