Apply & track with Apply EdgeWe are seeking an experienced and proactive Human Resources Manager to lead and oversee all HR activities for our operations in Ethiopia. This position plays a critical role in supporting business objectives through effective people management, talent development, employee engagement, and compliance with local labor regulations.The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor to management, driving HR initiatives while fostering a positive, high-performance workplace culture in a dynamic and multicultural environment.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic HR PartnershipPartner with local leadership to align HR initiatives with business priorities and operational goals.Provide guidance and support on organizational development, workforce planning, and change management.Drive employee engagement and retention strategies to support long-term business success.Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies and best practices.Talent Acquisition & Workforce PlanningManage end-to-end recruitment processes for professional, technical, and operational roles.Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to attract top talent.Coordinate onboarding and integration programs for new employees.Support workforce planning and succession planning initiatives.Employee Relations & Labor ComplianceManage employee relations matters, including grievance handling, disciplinary procedures, and conflict resolution.Ensure compliance with Ethiopian labor laws and employment regulations.Maintain positive relationships with employees, external stakeholders, and relevant authorities.Advise managers on employee matters and HR-related risks.Compensation, Benefits & HR OperationsOversee compensation and benefits administration in line with local market practices and company guidelines.Ensure accuracy and integrity of employee records and HR documentation.Coordinate payroll inputs and support payroll processes to ensure timely and accurate employee payments.Manage HR reporting activities and provide relevant metrics to support business decision-making.Oversee employee lifecycle administration, including contracts, amendments, terminations, and personnel records.Manage and monitor expatriate immigration processes, including work permits, visas, residence permits, renewals, and compliance with local regulatory requirements.Liaise with government authorities and external service providers regarding immigration and employment-related matters.Performance & Talent ManagementLead performance management processes, including annual reviews and development planning.Identify training and development needs and coordinate learning initiatives.Support leadership development and talent management programs.Promote a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Law, or a related field.Minimum 7 years of progressive HR experience, including experience in a managerial position.Strong knowledge of Ethiopian labor legislation and HR best practices.Fluent English (written and spoken): C1Previous experience in mining, industrial, manufacturing, engineering, construction, or similarly complex operational environments is highly desirable.Experience managing expatriate populations and immigration processes will be considered a strong advantage.Experience working within international or multicultural organizations.Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Available to do roasters every two weeks
