Joining Rolen means contributing to reliable, innovative rail solutions that support safe, efficient, and sustainable transportation across international markets.Role Description The Senior Human Resources Manager will lead HR operations and strategy for the Rochester, NY site in a full-time, on-site capacity. This role will oversee all core HR functions, including talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, compensation and benefits administration, and employee relations. The Senior Human Resources Manager will partner with leadership to align HR initiatives with organizational goals, support workforce planning, and drive employee engagement and retention. Daily responsibilities include managing HR policies and compliance, coaching managers on people management practices, handling sensitive employee matters, and maintaining accurate HR records and metrics. The role will also contribute to HR process improvements, support training and development initiatives, and ensure a consistent, inclusive, and compliant employee experience.Qualifications Strong expertise in core HR functions, including employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, and HR policy administration.Experience in talent acquisition and workforce planning, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding for technical and non-technical roles.Proficiency with HR information systems, data reporting, and use of HR metrics to inform decision-making.Knowledge of U.S. employment laws and regulations, with demonstrated ability to ensure compliance in an on-site manufacturing or engineering environment.Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to build trust across all levels of the organization.Proven leadership capabilities, including mentoring HR staff, influencing senior stakeholders, and driving change initiatives.Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) is a plus.Experience in industrial, engineering, or railway-related sectors is highly beneficial, along with familiarity with global or multi-site organizations.Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion and to maintaining a respectful, non-discriminatory workplace.
