CompanyOur client is a specialist engineering consultancy delivering innovative water infrastructure solutions for the mining and resources sector across Western Australia.Working closely with mining companies, EPCM consultancies and technology providers, they provide the design and delivery of pumping systems, pipelines, process water infrastructure and mine water management solutions for some of Australia's largest resource projects.PositionSenior Hydraulic Engineer – WaterThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Hydraulic Engineer to take a senior technical role across complex mining water infrastructure projects.Working alongside a highly experienced engineering team, you will develop and assess hydraulic models for mine water networks, pumping systems and pipelines across mine dewatering, water supply and process water infrastructure projects.The key focus of the role is hydraulic modelling and analysis, with the opportunity to expand into engineering design. ResponsibilitiesDevelop and review hydraulic models for complex mining water networks.Undertake steady-state and transient hydraulic analysis of pumping and pipeline systems.Use WaterGEMS, PumpSim, HAMMER or comparable hydraulic modelling software to assess system performance.Undertake pipeline sizing, pump system assessments and hydraulic calculations.Model mine dewatering, water transfer, process water and water supply networks.Assess different operating scenarios, system constraints and infrastructure requirements.Provide hydraulic input into concept, feasibility and detailed design studies.Review modelling outputs and provide practical engineering recommendations.Provide technical guidance and mentoring to engineers and technical personnel.Liaise with clients and multidisciplinary engineering teams across project delivery.RequirementsDegree in Mechanical, Civil, Chemical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.Strong experience in hydraulic modelling of pumping, pipeline or water distribution systems.Experience using WaterGEMS, PumpSim, HAMMER or other relevant hydraulic modelling packages.Strong understanding of pumps, pipelines, system curves and pressurised water networks.Experience across mining water, mine dewatering, water transfer, water supply or similar infrastructure.Ability to interpret hydraulic modelling results and translate these into practical engineering solutions.BenefitsHybrid working environment with flexible work arrangements.Work on a diverse range of mining water infrastructure projects across Western Australia.Specialist role with a strong focus on hydraulic modelling and complex water networks.Opportunity to work alongside an experienced mining water engineering team.How to applyApply below or contact Chris Hinton for more info.W3 Associates is a specialist Water Industry recruitment agency based in Australia.
