Senior IBM ACE / Integration Engineer | Azure | Banking

JOB DESCRIPTION:1. Role OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE) developer/Integration Engineer with Azure cloud exposure to build and deliver enterprise-grade integration solutions within a complex, multi-vendor banking and financial services ecosystem. This is a hands-on development role requiring both:Backend Integration expertise (IBM ACE, MQ, Azure Event Hub, APIs)Working knowledge of deploying and supporting services on Azure CloudThe ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in IBM ACE (formerly IBM Integration Bus / WebSphere Message Broker), with a strong experience working in a multi-vednor ecosystem, integrating core banking platforms, work systems (Appian), and external vendor solutions using API-first and event driven architecture patterns. 2. Key ResponsibilitiesCore Development and IntegrationDevelop IBM ACE message flows, subflows, and reusable components.Build and expose REST APIs (OpenAPI/Swagger) and SOAP services where requiredImplement data transformations (JSON, XML, flat files, DFDL)Integrate systems using IBM MQ and event platforms (Kafka/Azure Event Hubs)Implement error handling, retry patterns, and DLQ mechanismsCloud and Deployment ResponsibilitiesDeploy and manage integration services on Azure cloud environmentsWork with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) or OpenShift on Azure for containerized ACE runtimesPackage and deploy applications using Docker containers and Helm chartsConfigure and manage Azure services such as:Azure API Management (APIM) or integration with existing gateways (e.g., Kong)Azure Event Hubs (for streaming)Azure Key Vault (for secrets/certificates)Azure Monitor / Log Analytics (for observability)Support environment configuration and promotion across Dev/Test/Prod using CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI or equivalent).System Integration and DeliveryIntegrate with core banking systems and cross vendor platformsWork with Appian teams to expose APIs and support workflow integrationsSupport end-to-end testing (SIT/UAT) and production readinessParticipate in interface and integration design discussionsSupport and OperationsTroubleshoot production issues and optimize performance of integrations.Monitor message flows, queues, and APIs for reliability and throughputMaintain deployment artifacts, runbooks, and technical documentationEngineering PracticesFollow defined integration standards, coding practices, and API guidelines.Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automation workflowsEnsure adherence to security and compliance standards3.
