Senior ICT Site Consultant

We are recruiting a Senior ELV/ICT Site Consultant:Role DescriptionThe Senior ELV/ICT Site Consultant is a full-time, site-based position in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The role is responsible for supervising, coordinating and reviewing the installation, integration, testing and commissioning of ICT, ELV and electronic security systems to ensure compliance with approved designs, project specifications, authority requirements and applicable standards.The successful candidate will act as the primary site-level technical representative for ELV/ICT works and coordinate closely with the Client, Contractor, specialist subcontractors, vendors, design consultants and other engineering disciplines. The role requires strong technical judgment, effective stakeholder management and the ability to resolve complex site and interface issues while protecting the approved design intent.Key Responsibilities:Supervise and coordinate all site activities associated with ICT, ELV and electronic security systems.Conduct regular site inspections and verify that installations comply with approved shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, project specifications and applicable standards.Review ICT and ELV shop drawings, technical submittals, method statements, RFIs, inspection requests, testing procedures and as-built documentation.Coordinate with the Client, Main Contractor, specialist subcontractors, vendors and other consultants to resolve technical queries, site constraints and interdisciplinary interface issues.Organize and chair technical coordination meetings, progress meetings, vendor workshops and client meetings, and monitor the closure of agreed actions.Provide technical clarifications while ensuring that any proposed changes remain aligned with the approved design intent and contractual requirements.Monitor installation progress, workmanship, material compliance and system integration, and promptly identify technical risks, delays and non-conformances.Witness factory acceptance tests, site acceptance tests, testing and commissioning activities, integrated system testing and final demonstrations, as applicable.Review testing and commissioning records, operation and maintenance manuals, training documentation, warranties and handover submissions.Coordinate ICT and ELV requirements with architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, fire and life-safety disciplines.Verify equipment-room and data-centre requirements, including rack layouts, containment, structured cabling, power, UPS, grounding, cooling, fire protection, access control, monitoring and equipment clearances.Review contractor and vendor proposals and provide technically sound, vendor-neutral recommendations to the Client.Maintain accurate site records, inspection reports, meeting minutes, issue trackers, progress reports and technical correspondence.Support project closeout, snagging, system acceptance and final handover.Required Technical Experience:The candidate shall have sound knowledge and practical site experience in the following systems:Structured cabling systems, fibre-optic infrastructure and telecommunications networks.LAN, WAN, network switches, routers and associated ICT infrastructure.Data-centre and equipment-room design, including racks, containment, power, UPS, cooling, grounding, redundancy and environmental monitoring.CCTV and video management systems.Access control systems, including controllers, readers, electronic locks and system integrations.Intercom, visitor management, intrusion detection and key-management systems.Hostile Vehicle Mitigation systems, including barriers, bollards, road blockers and associated control interfaces.Audio-visual, public-address, digital-signage and other specialist ELV systems, where applicable.System integration, testing, commissioning and operational handover.Applicable UAE regulations, Abu Dhabi authority requirements, international standards and industry best practices. Qualifications and Competencies:Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications/Electronics, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.Minimum 10 years of relevant ICT/ELV experience, including substantial experience in site supervision and consultancy roles.Previous experience in security-sensitive, mission-critical, government, data-centre or large-scale developments is highly desirable.Strong knowledge of ICT infrastructure, data-centre systems and electronic security technologies.Demonstrated ability to review technical submissions, drawings, calculations, inspection requests and testing documentation.Strong coordination and communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with clients, contractors, vendors and multidisciplinary design teams.Ability to chair technical meetings, communicate decisions clearly and monitor actions through to closure.Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.Good understanding of project specifications, contractual responsibilities, quality-control procedures and change-management processes.Proficiency in reviewing AutoCAD and Revit drawings and using document-management and markup platforms.Relevant professional certifications such as CCNA, BICSI, ITIL, PMP, ASIS or manufacturer-specific security certifications are advantageous.Excellent written and spoken English.Ability to work full-time on site in Abu Dhabi and independently manage multiple technical priorities.Qualified candidates advised to submit a CV to info@pps.ae
