Apply & track with Apply EdgeWe are an international trading company based in the UAE, engaged in import, export, and cross-border trading between the UAE and international markets.We are looking for an experienced Senior Import & Export Executive who can independently manage the complete import and export process, including international shipping, customs clearance, trade documentation, and coordination with suppliers, customers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs agents.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end import and export operations from the UAE to international markets and from overseas suppliers into the UAE.* Handle international sea freight, container bookings, shipping schedules, customs clearance, and local transportation.* Prepare and review shipping and trade documents, including Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, Certificate of Origin, and other customs documentation.* Handle HS Codes, customs duties, import/export declarations, and UAE customs procedures.* Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs brokers, ports, suppliers, and customers.* Understand and apply Incoterms such as EXW, FOB, CFR, CIF and DDP.* Obtain and compare freight quotations and control logistics costs.* Track shipments and proactively resolve delays, customs issues, documentation discrepancies, and other logistics problems.* Support international trading transactions and cross-border / third-country trade.
Requirements
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in import/export, international trade, freight forwarding, or logistics.* Strong practical knowledge of UAE import/export and customs procedures.* Experience dealing with UAE ports and customs authorities.* Good understanding of international shipping documentation and Incoterms.* Experience with sea freight and containerized cargo is essential.* Experience in steel, metals, construction materials, industrial products, or other heavy cargo is highly preferred.* Strong communication and negotiation skills.* Fluent English is required.* Arabic and/or Chinese language skills are an advantage.* Candidates currently based in the UAE are preferred.
