Senior Industrial Buyer (Transylvania)

Announcement taken from the platform George Butunoiu Executive Search:A large industrial group based in Transylvania operating multiple manufacturing facilities in Romania, is seeking a Senior Industrial Buyer for a newly created role.Following a sustained period of industrial development over the past three years, and with further expansion in sight — including into new geographic markets, the company is bringing this function in-house.Reporting to the Purchasing Group Director, the successful candidate will cover the full procurement lifecycle for manufacturing technology: identifying technical requirements, conducting market research, negotiating with suppliers, overseeing installation through to post-implementation ROI analysis.Location: on site, factory based (Transylvania), with regular travel across Romania and occasional international travel (supplier visits, industry trade fairs).Candidate profile:BA Degree in engineering/construction preferred, or in economicsMinimum of 5 years of experience in procurement for industrial projects, ideally within manufacturing technologyTrack record of managing procurement budgets in the tens to hundreds of millions of euros, relevant to the scale of this roleRelevant experience organizing large-scale tenders, including supplier evaluation and qualification processesRelevant experience negotiating complex acquisition contracts, bank guarantees, and milestone-based payment structuresWorking knowledge of procurement legislationStrong tolerance for ambiguity and comfort operating in a fast-paced environmentFluent English & Romanian Interested candidates who recognize their own project experience in this description are invited to reach out, please send your resume to raluca@georgebutunoiu.com.
