This position will serve as a key point of contact for employees, executives, and field personnel, ensuring reliable day-to-day operation of the company's technology environment.The Senior IT & Helpdesk Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware, software, networking, security, user-access, and application issues while also assisting with IT projects, system upgrades, onboarding, and technology improvements.The ideal candidate is a highly responsive, customer-service-oriented IT professional who can independently diagnose and resolve problems, communicate effectively with non-technical users, and manage multiple priorities in a professional corporate environment.Key ResponsibilitiesHelpdesk & Technical SupportProvide Tier 1, Tier 2, and advanced desktop support to employees across the organization.Respond to, troubleshoot, document, and resolve hardware, software, network, and user-access issues.Serve as an escalation point for complex technical issues.Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, monitors, printers, mobile devices, and other IT equipment.Support Windows-based workstations and common business applications.Assist users with Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and OneDrive.Troubleshoot connectivity, VPN, Wi-Fi, printing, authentication, and peripheral issues.Provide remote support when necessary.User & Account AdministrationCreate, modify, and disable user accounts and access permissions.Assist with Active Directory / Entra ID administration.Support Microsoft 365 user administration, licensing, passwords, MFA, and security settings.Manage employee onboarding and offboarding from an IT perspective.Ensure appropriate access to applications, systems, shared drives, and other resources.Maintain accurate IT asset and user documentation.Network & Infrastructure SupportTroubleshoot LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, switches, routers, firewalls, and other network-related issues.Monitor network and system performance and escalate infrastructure issues when appropriate.Assist with server, cloud, backup, and storage administration.Support office technology, conference-room systems, VoIP/phone systems, printers, and other connected devices.Work with outside IT vendors and managed service providers as needed.Security & ComplianceFollow and reinforce company IT security policies and procedures.Assist with endpoint security, antivirus/EDR, MFA, password management, and access controls.Identify and escalate potential security threats or suspicious activity.Assist with software updates, patching, device security, and vulnerability remediation.Help maintain appropriate security practices for company and employee data.IT Projects & Continuous ImprovementParticipate in technology implementations, upgrades, migrations, and system rollouts.Assist with deployment and configuration of new hardware and software.Help evaluate technology solutions and make recommendations based on business needs.Develop and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and knowledge-base materials.Identify recurring issues and recommend solutions that improve reliability and user productivity.Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders on IT projects.Qualifications5+ years of progressive IT support / helpdesk / desktop support experience.Strong experience supporting Windows environments and Microsoft 365.Experience with Active Directory and/or Microsoft Entra ID.Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Wi-Fi, LAN/WAN, and basic network troubleshooting.Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, printers, mobile devices, and peripheral equipment.Familiarity with endpoint security, MFA, antivirus/EDR, and general cybersecurity practices.Experience supporting executive-level users is strongly preferred.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical employees.Strong customer-service orientation and professional demeanor.Ability to prioritize multiple issues and work independently with limited supervision.Experience working with third-party IT vendors and service providers.Preferred QualificationsCompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ certification.Microsoft certifications such as Microsoft 365, Azure, or related credentials.Experience with ticketing/helpdesk systems.Experience with Microsoft Intune or other endpoint-management platforms.Experience with cloud-based applications and SaaS environments.Experience supporting cybersecurity initiatives.Experience in a real estate, investment, financial services, property management, or professional-services environment.Ideal CandidateThe successful candidate will be more than someone who simply closes helpdesk tickets.
