Senior Infrastructure EngineerWe’re looking for a hands-on Senior Infrastructure Engineer with strong experience across both Azure and on-premises infrastructure. This is a project-focused engineering role rather than a management position, with responsibility for designing, delivering and supporting complex infrastructure projects from start to finish.The ideal candidate will have broad, real-world experience across servers, virtualization, networking, storage, identity and cloud environments, with the communication skills to work directly with clients and internal teams.What You’ll DoDesign and implement hybrid infrastructure solutions across Azure and on-premises environmentsLead and deliver server, Active Directory and file server migrations, including DFS/DFSR, replication, coexistence and FSMO rolesDesign and manage Azure IaaS environments, including VNets, NSGs, virtual machines, identity and hybrid connectivityBuild and maintain VMware and/or Hyper-V environments, including clustering, HA/DRS and storage integrationOwn infrastructure projects through the full lifecycle, from planning and implementation through documentation and handoverImplement and support VDI solutions, including Citrix DaaS, RDS and Azure Virtual DesktopConfigure and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including firewalls, switching, VLANs, routing and VPNsDeploy and manage SAN/NAS storage, including iSCSI, LUN provisioning and redundancyLead Microsoft 365 and email migrationsDesign and implement backup and disaster recovery solutionsProduce clear and practical technical documentationWork closely with clients and internal teams to troubleshoot issues and deliver projects successfullyWhat You Bring5+ years of hands-on infrastructure engineering experienceStrong experience across Azure and on-premises infrastructureSolid knowledge of Active Directory architecture and migrationsExperience with file server migrations, DFS/DFSR, permissions and cutover strategiesStrong virtualization experience with VMware and/or Hyper-VGood understanding of networking fundamentals, including VLANs, routing, firewalls and VPNsExperience with backup and disaster recovery technologies such as Veeam, Datto or Azure Recovery ServicesProven experience delivering infrastructure projects from start to finishExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong customer service, problem-solving and interpersonal skillsExcellent organisation and time management, with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesA collaborative, dependable and hands-on approachNice to HavePrevious MSP experienceAdvanced Azure certifications, such as Azure Solutions ArchitectAdditional technical certifications across infrastructure, networking or cloudExperience with ConnectWise or similar PSA/RMM platformsWhat’s In It For YouThe opportunity to work on varied, technically challenging infrastructure projectsExposure to both Azure and complex on-premises environmentsA highly hands-on engineering role with ownership over project deliveryThe opportunity to work across cloud, networking, virtualization, storage and Microsoft technologiesA client-facing environment where your technical expertise and communication skills will make a direct impactContinued exposure to new technologies and opportunities to develop your technical skill setInterested?
