Senior Instructional Designer

Key Responsibilities1. Needs Analysis & Learning ObjectivesConduct assessments to identify learning gaps and define measurable learning outcomes2. Curriculum & Content DesignDevelop course structures, storyboards, and instructional strategies using models like ADDIE or SAMCreate detailed design documents including learning objectives, content outlines, storyboards, and assessment strategiesCreate multimedia content including presentations, videos, simulations, and e-learning modules3. Assessment & EvaluationDesign quizzes, assignments, and feedback mechanisms to evaluate learner performance and course effectiveness4. Technology IntegrationUtilize tools like Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, LMS platforms, and analytics tools to enhance learning delivery5. Project ManagementManage timelines, resources, and documentation for instructional design projects6. Digital Learning & InnovationLeverage authoring tools (such as Articulate, Captivate, or similar) to design engaging digital contentIntegrate multimedia elements, interactivity, gamification, and scenario-based learningExplore and apply emerging trends such as AI-enabled learning, adaptive learning, and performance support tools7. Stakeholder ManagementCollaborate with stakeholders, SMEs, and clients to understand requirements and gather feedbackPresent design concepts and solutions confidently to the stakeholdersManage expectations, timelines, and scope changes effectively8. Collaboration & TrainingWork with SMEs, graphic designers, and trainers to ensure content accuracy and delivery qualityConduct train-the-trainer sessions and support faculty/staff trainingStrong team player who actively shares knowledge and best practices to improve processes and elevate overall deliverable quality9. Project CoordinationWork closely with project manager to ensure timely delivery of projectsManage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and deadlinesContribute to process improvements and best practices in instructional design10. Quality Assurance & AccessibilityEnsure content meets accessibility standards and undergoes regular updates for relevance and accuracyRequired Skills & CompetenciesStrong grasp of instructional design theories and learning models (e.g., ADDIE, Bloom’s Taxonomy)Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools and LMS platformsExcellent content structuring, writing, and storytelling skillsStrong stakeholder management and communication skillsExcellent communication, writing, and editing skillsProject management and analytical thinkingKnowledge of accessibility standards and UX/UI principlesAbility to work in an agile, fast-moving workflow and to work on multiple projectsQualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Psychology, Educational Technology, or related fieldDegree or certification in Instructional Design or Learning Experience Design or eLearning tools is a plus7+ years of experience in instructional design or e-learning development
