Arba Minch University also aims to be globally competitive, fostering innovation, academic rigor, and strong community engagement.Role Description The Senior Instructor is a full-time academic role responsible for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses, developing curricula, and preparing instructional materials. The role includes supervising student projects, mentoring learners, and supporting their academic and professional growth. The Senior Instructor is expected to conduct applied and demand-driven research, participate in academic committees, and contribute to community engagement initiatives. This is a hybrid role based in Arba Minch, with primary responsibilities on campus and some tasks, such as grading, preparation, and online student support, performed from home.Qualifications Advanced academic training and demonstrated expertise in a relevant discipline, preferably aligned with water resources, engineering, natural sciences, social sciences, or related fields.Experience in university-level teaching, course design, and curriculum development, with strong classroom management and learner-centered pedagogy.Proven ability to conduct demand-driven research, publish in academic journals, and collaborate on research projects and grant proposals.Strong communication, presentation, and academic writing skills, with the ability to teach and mentor diverse student populations.Demonstrated commitment to community service, outreach, and knowledge transfer activities supporting local and national development.Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, manage time independently, and use digital tools and learning platforms for teaching and assessment.Master’s degree or higher (PhD preferred) in a relevant field; prior academic rank or equivalent teaching experience at a recognized institution is an advantage.Ethical conduct, collegial attitude, and willingness to contribute to departmental duties, university governance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
