Apply & track with Apply EdgeJob Purpose The Senior Integration & Automation Engineer will design, develop, test, and implement the integration and automation components required for the Telecom Services Automation and AI Enablement Initiative.Working closely with the Lead Integration Architect, the role will convert approved integration designs and business requirements into secure, scalable, and reliable APIs, connectors, automated workflows, and system-to-system integrations across enterprise applications, telecom platforms, approval systems, and external service-provider environments. Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop APIs, connectors, adapters, and system-to-system integrations based on the approved architecture.Build workflow automation and orchestration logic for end-to-end telecom service delivery.Develop data-mapping, transformation, validation, and routing logic between integrated systems.Integrate enterprise applications, telecom platforms, approval workflows, and external service-provider systems. Implement secure authentication, authorisation, encryption, error handling, retry mechanisms, logging, and monitoring. Develop reusable integration and automation components that can support multiple telecom services. Conduct unit, integration, system, and end-to-end testing of automated service workflows. Troubleshoot integration issues, perform root-cause analysis, and resolve technical defects.Monitor integration performance, reliability, and transaction processing, and recommend improvements.Support deployment, configuration management, production readiness, and post-implementation activities.Maintain source code, technical specifications, interface documentation, deployment instructions, and troubleshooting guides.Work closely with the Lead Integration Architect, system owners, Cyber Security teams, infrastructure teams, vendors, and external service providers.Support the integration of automation platforms and AI/LLM-enabled services where required. Ensure all developed solutions comply with approved architectural, security, coding, and operational standards.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.Relevant certifications in integration platforms, cloud technologies, automation, DevOps, or software development would be an advantage.Experience4–6 years of hands-on experience in system integration, software integration, workflow automation, or application development. Proven experience developing APIs, connectors, and integrations across multiple enterprise systems. Strong programming or scripting experience using Python, Java, C#/.NET, or JavaScript/Node.js. Practical experience with REST and SOAP APIs, JSON, XML, SQL, and data transformation. Experience using middleware, integration platforms, workflow engines, or orchestration technologies. Experience implementing secure API communication, authentication, authorisation, logging, monitoring, and error handling.Hands-on experience testing, troubleshooting, and supporting integrations in production environments.Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control, and container technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes would be an advantage.Previous telecom integration experience is preferred.Experience integrating automation platforms or AI/LLM-enabled services would be an advantage.Core CompetenciesStrong software development and integration capabilities.Analytical thinking and technical problem-solving skills.Ability to translate technical designs into working integration solutions.Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis abilities.Good communication, teamwork, and technical documentation skills.Ability to work across multiple systems, vendors, and technical teams.
