Senior Integration Engineer – API & AutomationJob PurposeWe are looking for a Senior Integration Engineer – API & Automation to design, develop, implement, and support enterprise integration and workflow automation solutions.The role will focus on building secure and scalable APIs, system integrations, connectors, and automated workflows connecting enterprise applications, telecom platforms, service-provider systems, and automation/AI-enabled services.The successful candidate will work closely with Solution Architects, system owners, Cyber Security teams, infrastructure teams, vendors, and service providers to deliver reliable end-to-end integration and automation solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and implement APIs, connectors, adapters, and system-to-system integrations.Build and maintain REST/SOAP APIs and integration services across enterprise and telecom platforms.Develop workflow automation and orchestration for end-to-end service delivery processes.Implement data mapping, transformation, validation, and routing between integrated systems.Develop reusable integration components and frameworks that can support multiple services and applications.Implement secure API communication using appropriate authentication, authorization, and encryption mechanisms.Build resilient integrations incorporating error handling, retries, exception management, logging, and monitoring.Perform unit, integration, system, and end-to-end testing of APIs and automated workflows.Troubleshoot complex integration issues, perform root-cause analysis, and resolve technical defects.Monitor integration performance, reliability, and transaction processing and recommend improvements.Support application deployment, configuration, production readiness, and post-production activities.Maintain source code, API specifications, interface documentation, deployment guides, and troubleshooting procedures.Collaborate with Solution Architects, Cyber Security, infrastructure teams, application owners, vendors, and external service providers.Support integration with automation platforms and AI/LLM-enabled services where required.Ensure solutions comply with enterprise architecture, security, development, and operational standards.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.Relevant certifications in API management, integration platforms, cloud, DevOps, or software development are advantageous.Required Experience4–6 years of hands-on experience in system integration, software integration, API development, backend development, or workflow automation.Strong hands-on experience developing APIs, connectors, and integrations across multiple enterprise systems.Strong programming or scripting experience with one or more of:PythonJavaC# / .NETJavaScript / Node.jsStrong experience with REST APIs, SOAP/Web Services, JSON, XML, and SQL.Experience with middleware, integration platforms, workflow engines, or orchestration technologies.Good understanding of API security, including authentication, authorization, encryption, and secure system communication.Experience implementing error handling, retry mechanisms, logging, monitoring, and exception management.Hands-on experience troubleshooting and supporting integrations in production environments.Good understanding of software development lifecycle, source control, testing, and deployment practices.Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and root-cause analysis skills.Preferred / Advantageous ExperiencePrevious experience integrating telecom systems, OSS/BSS platforms, service-management platforms, or service-provider environments.Experience with API gateways, middleware, iPaaS, messaging, or event-driven integration technologies.Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version-control tools.Exposure to Docker and/or Kubernetes.Experience integrating automation platforms or AI/LLM-enabled applications and services.Exposure to cloud-based integration services is an advantage.Key SkillsAPI Development | REST API | SOAP | System Integration | Enterprise Integration | Workflow Automation | Orchestration | Middleware | Python | Java | C#/.NET | Node.js | JSON | XML | SQL | API Security | Authentication | CI/CD | Docker | Kubernetes | Troubleshooting | Telecom IntegrationCore CompetenciesStrong software development and integration capabilities.Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills.Ability to translate architecture and technical requirements into working solutions.Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis capabilities.Ability to work across multiple applications, systems, vendors, and technical teams.Good communication, collaboration, and technical documentation skills.
